September 27, 2018: Week 4 Bucs at Bears Preview

posted in: Bears | 1

With the bye week looming, how big would it be to get to 3-1?  After an ugly win last week (key word WIN), the Bears come home for their first noon start of the year; I missed those.  This was one of those games you probably had penciled in for a win, but with the rebirth of Ryan Fitzpatrick and an impressive Bucs offense, this may be more difficult than we thought.

Papa Vegas thinks so too.  Bears -3 is the line, so basically a pick’em with home field advantage.  I think the line ended up somewhere around -5 last week, so we’re saying the Bucs are 8 points better than the Cards on neutral ground.  Ok, that’s fine.  In a surprising twist, I like the Bears to win this week.

There was a bit of a back and forth about the TB QB this week.  Starter Winston or the hot hand Fitzpatrick were the two choices.  Frankly, either one of those guys should probably prefer it’s the other…at least for this week.  Because whoever it was, and it is Ryan, we will make them look bad and the other guy will be starting next week; you can thank us later Jameis.  He already showed some cracks in the armor at home against a suspect Steelers defense; although I did pick them up for my fantasy defense this week vs Baltimore.  But you get my drift, right?  Now he comes on the road against an elite defense.  Yeah, I said it.  With Mack, this D is one of the best in the league.  We’ll show it this Sunday again.

And that Bucs defense isn’t all that.  This should be the week where microscope boy should be able to call off some of the dogs with a nice performance.  No turnovers, a couple TD passes, and a couple nice scrambles would be a nice game.  He still will miss a throw here and there, but doesn’t everybody?

I’m looking forward to an awesome game.  I really like our chances in this one.  Going to 3-1 headed to the bye will really get us talking crazy.  At 2-2, there would be nothing but crap talk.  Seize the moment boys.  This win would also keep us in first place for another 2 weeks; how sweet would that be?

I remember when the Bucs were pathetic.  Although it was hard not to like those creamsicle colored uniforms with the awesome helmet, when we resided in the same division, it was mostly beat downs that the Bears and every other team handed out against them.  Let’s throwback this Sunday, and show everyone why we’re a team to be reckoned with this year.  Bear Down!

DA BEARS! Yes, I liked the Bears in this one as well. Doesn’t really matter who the bucs qb will be with the Bears D continuing to get better week after week. Will Mack continue to wreak havoc? You damn well right. The Bears D should be able to handle a one trick pony bucs offense…all passing, no running. Fits right into the Bears pass rush. On offense, just keep developing MTru. We have your back. Get to 3-1, stay in 1st place, and the first quarter of the year is over. Chicago and the sports world will start talking. BEAR DOWN!!!
