October 29, 2017: Just Ain’t Right

posted in: Bears | 1

Yes, of course, I’m talking about that TD catch that was taken away from Zack Miller; it just ain’t right.  I mean, the guy breaks his fricking knee and holds on to the damn ball after rolling on the ground only to have the replay officials say he didn’t.  That was a total gut shot.  At least he could have said his last catch was a TD if he doesn’t come back from this injury; I hope he does.  But there was more…

More crazy officiating to say the least.  Watching these games, I can’t help but think the fix is in; I felt that way after watching the Bears MNF game vs the Vikings too.  There are just too many dumb calls.  I know these guys have other jobs, like Joniak mentions before each game starts on the radio.  This guy is a salesman in the offseason; this guy sells real estate.  But these guys can’t be that bad at their jobs.  Between the phantom calls and the blatant “what are you going to do about it?” ones, Papa Vegas certainly looks to continue to have his stranglehold over the league.  But nobody wants to talk about that…

One of the things I don’t get is the play calling on offense.  I’m not going to lay into Dowell about not calling enough pass plays from Mitchell yet; that’ll come.  I’m going to crush him for what I think is the stupidest thing ever:  lining up for a short yardage situation in shotgun and/or lining up with no RB in the backfield.  That’s so fricking stupid.

We did it on our goal to go situation in this one.  We know the bread and butter is the run game right now.  I understand it has to be tough to throw defenses off our scent; if I was playing us, I would play the run every fricking play.  So when you line up in a formation that everybody in the world knows is NOT a run, that’s extremely stupid.  OK, maybe if it’s like a 3rd and forever, which the Bears had plenty of in this one, but when it’s a short yardage situation, why take the possibility of a run completely out of the picture, especially with this Bears team right now?
This process is not exclusive to people. levitra prescription This viagra sale inability to have and maintain an erection has caused many sellers a lot of frustration. So, if you are getting the exact tadalafil online cheap view over here solution of Kamagra, then it can have repercussions on health.
And then, and then… on a 3rd & 4th and 1 which ended up being the last plays of the game, we don’t hand off?  I’m sorry, but that is extremely stupid.  Again, is Dowell that dumb?  Again, I think it was in the cards for the Bears to cover but not win; I can’t help thinking that way at times.  I just can’t believe some of these people are that stupid…

It was a frustrating loss, that’s for sure.  This one was there for us.  And one more thing… if Colin Barth is on the roster after the bye week, I’m going to write a letter.  This guy blows!  You’re going to tell me that there is not one good FG kicker… one FG kicker that is less bad than this jerk?  It’s not like we’re scoring points in droves… we need every one we can get, and then you got this guy missing FGs!?!?!  I don’t get how he is still on the team.

So the quest for over 500 will have to wait a bit; I still think we can get there this year.  It sucks to go into the bye week like this, after a loss like this, but at 3-5, I’m thinking that’s a lot better than most thought.  I’ll just stay mad, about that call, about that game, until the next game; I hope the guys do too.  The next game after the bye we will welcome the Packers to Soldier Field, without a hall of fame QB.  We haven’t had that situation many times over the past 25 years, but we will in 2 weeks, and I hope we beat the ever living snot out of them.  That will make me feel a LOT better.  Bear Down!

Tough break for Miller! Has a touchdown overturned (BS btw) and dislocates his knee to the point that they were talking amputating. Hope all is well with him but not sure he will ever see the field again…sucks!
The play calling has to be near the worst in the league, kind of like the Bears receiving corp. Tough to win games without talent. Even tougher when you hurt yourselves with dumb ass play calls. How is it that we see all of this stuff so plainly but these guys cant? Or do they see it and try to out-think themselves? I don’t know, but it is frustrating. Too many times, I just see our receivers run a straight route and turn around with a guy glued on. And why is the Bears most explosive weapon, Cohen, seemingly being slowly withdrawn from the game plan? 4 carries and 1 reception? Really? Is dowell that stupid that he can’t find ways to get him the ball? I know Howard is a beast carrying the rock, but find ways to get Cohen in space. Screens? 1on1 with a backer? Anything! Am I just pissed because I now have him on my fantasy team? Just seems like our most explosive weapon should be a big part of an offense struggling to move the ball. As for conor barf, he should have been gone last year. The Bears went cheap and let Gould go so this is the option. What a way to let points escape the Bears who struggle to get them. The good news is, it is a bye week. The Bears can rest up, work on some offensive plays and chemistry, and get ready to kick the fudge out of the pack. BEAR DOWN!!!
