That turn in the calendar means more than no baseball playoffs again in Chicago. It means more than the end of the 1st quarter of the Bears season. It also means that the United Center will be opening its doors for its 2 biggest residents: the Bulls and Blackhawks.
It just doesn’t stop. It’s year round here in Chicago. It seems like just yesterday the Bulls were getting knocked out of the playoffs by the Wizards, and the Kings were deflecting their way past the Hawks. Unlike the other teams in Chicago, these teams are used to the playoffs… we EXPECT them to make the playoffs every year, and most of the time, they don’t disappoint… especially recently.
It’s no secret who the class of Chicago sports has been lately, and that’s the Blackhawks. I don’t see that changing any time soon. While I hope the other guys reach that plateau sooner than later, I don’t see the Blackhawks stepping down for a long time. Could the way last season ended make this team even hungrier? What do you get when you combine the most skill in the NHL with an angry type hunger for another Cup? Well, I’m ready to see that team take the ice. Barring some major injuries, there is no reason why the Hawks won’t be back battling for another Cup come next summer.
Their roommates in the UC aren’t far behind. The Bulls are primed for a run at the NBA title this year too. While not as much of a “lock” (if there is such a thing) as the Hawks are, the Bulls are a top 5 team in the NBA. Rose made it through the World Basketball Championships. He didn’t reinjure himself… yet. OK, ok… let’s drop the injury concerns about Rose this year. I know it’s inevitable, but can’t we all believe he’ll make it through the season healthy? He wasn’t at the top of his game this summer, but he wasn’t supposed to be. That’s NOT what it was all about. It was about staying healthy. It was about getting stronger. It was about shaking off SOME of the rust… because there will still be rust to shake off.

What is the dosage pattern for discounts on levitra ? There is a definite dosage pattern which has already been given. Workforce management includes cheapest prices for cialis tracking attendance, on-the-job performance evaluations and monitoring arrivals and departures. He’s NOT alone this year. I never thought he was, but according to Reggie, the Bulls didn’t have a team around him. Again, I never believed that, but now, I don’t think anybody can make that argument. This Bulls team is as deep as its ever been. I just got done reading some praise for Euro boy. They’re heaping it on during the early practices. Can you imagine if this kid is as good as advertised? I don’t think Thibs is going to have a choice but play his bench. Rose, Buckets, Jo, Pau, Taj, McD, Mirotic, Dun, Captain Kirk just for starters. That’s 9 right there! Well, I’m ready to see that team take the court.
I’m looking forward to paying the Kings back this year. We’re even after last year’s loss. We both have 2 Cups in the past 5 years. We’ve both beat each other in the Conference Finals on the way to one of those Cups. It’s rubber match time, and my money is on the Indian Head. If we meet in the playoffs again, I think we can officially call this a rivalry… if it’s not already. It could get real ugly.
I’m looking forward to meeting Lebron again… this time with the Cavs… this time with another recruited superstar in KLove. I don’t really get all the weight loss… does he plan on being an outside threat vs inside presence? He was most successful taking the ball inside and shooting a high FG%… will he be able to do that now? Whatever. I just know we owe him one… or a couple maybe. I’m ready to pay him back this year too. A 100% healthy Bulls team would have taken him down one of these past couple years, but we didn’t get that chance. I hope we get that chance this year.
So, let’s forget about baseball for just a minute. Our plate is pretty full. Bears in full swing, and the UC Boys just getting started. It’s a great time of year, especially when our teams are good. Let’s enjoy it, and get ready for some good times!
