November 30, 2019: Not Thankful

posted in: Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs | 0

Before we leave this month of November, a month of giving thanks, let me flip it on you. I’m going to talk about the Chicago sports things that I’m NOT thankful for. I’m just kind of feeling that way… on the verge of a couple hate files too I think; it’s been too long.

With the decade coming to an end, I’ve been seeing some things about best and worst moments of the decade; I think I’ll have my thoughts on that eventually, but not this second. I’m thinking about the right now. Well, actually, I’m still in catch up mode, so yes, I’m writing this right now, but dating it a little bit ago, and that’s OK, right?

I’m not thankful for the way the Cubs season ended. All the talk all year long how, yeah, we’ll turn it around… yeah, we’ll get hot… yeah, we’ll make it; BS! Stringing me along the whole time… still waiting to rekindle that 2016 magic. Yeah, the familiar “wait until next year” is back.

I’m not thankful for the way the Bears season has went. Sure, sure… we’re not officially dead yet, but come on; put a damn fork in us. I hate to say it; I really do. With the expectations this year, geez… what a fall from last year’s glory, if you can even call it that, because we didn’t win a damn thing. Then this year turns into a complete train wreck; one of the worst years that I can recall. Worst year of the decade? I need more time to answer that one, but I don’t think I’ll go that far.

However, it was unica-web.com where buy viagra soon found to minimize the look of mine. Holiday season, including Christmas, the cialis 40 mg summer and Valentines Day are our busiest times of year. I’m not thankful for the way the Blackhawks season has started. Yeah, it’s a little past the “started” phase; it’s getting into that territory of “this is who we are” phase. A 500 team, and not even that at the current moment. That will not be good enough to make the playoffs. Do I think they can play better? Yes. Do I think they will? Well, I am a positive thinker, but after the Cubs and Bears flame outs… I’m feeling a bit more negative than I usually do.

And that leads me perfectly into the Bulls season… I’m not thankful for GarPax. I’m not thankful for another “rebuilding” year. I’m not thankful that we extended Boylen before he could even prove anything; why do we do that? If/when Boylen is gone, will it be too late for our young, supposed to be developing, players? Will GarPax be allowed to hire ANOTHER coach? Will Jerry get his head out the White Sox ass and smack his son around a bit to do something here? I’ll tell you what. Attendance numbers start dropping for the Bulls will prompt some action. I hate to stay away, and love the lower prices, but… how much longer do we have to go through this shit.

Ok, I’m done. It kind of felt like a mini Hate File, although if you know, I don’t do that for current teams/players. We save those for when they’re gone. For now, all my non-thankfulness is out of my system; let’s move on.
