November 27, 2015: Satisfaction

posted in: Bears | 2

I can’t get no…satisfaction. But on turkey day 2015, we all got some. Bears beat the Packers in Lambeau on the night Favre’s jersey was retired. How fricking sweet!

It’s been a while since I felt this way.  Of course we celebrate every win every season, at least we should. But as far as regular season games go, this one ranks up there.

We’ve been going through the 85 season…many memorable ones there, including the dogfight vs the Pack where my hate started.  Going through the memory banks, I remember Bryan Robinson I believe blocking an extra point to beat Green Bay in Lambeau soon after Payton died to beat these losers. I’m still thinking… I’m sure there are more regular season games…oh yeah, the comeback in Arizona during our 2nd Super Bowl year.  Now back to last night…

For all the bad memories that we have of Brett Favre kicking our ass, we now have one over him and the rest of rotten cheese nation. I was there that Monday Night when the Bears retired Butkus and Sayers numbers. I remember the Pack rolling in there and rolling over us. I remember thinking how pissed those guys must have been…how disappointed they were, we were that we couldn’t raise up on that night, how we were mired in a bad, bad period vs the Pack and number 4.  I feel somewhat redeemed now.

Yes, we’re still in a bad stretch vs them and their current qb who will have this ceremony one night too…and hopefully we can celebrate the same way then.  It’s like giving them the finger, the same one they’ve been giving us for years. I know someone else who feels a bit of redemption.

Once you know what the problem is, it can be at the beginning to levitra 10 mg face it. Do not consume this medicine if you are cialis soft 20mg allergic to Sildenafil Citrate, suffering from any longstanding illness and undergoing therapy with nitrates, antidepressant or antihypertensive drugs. For men, there is herbal viagra buying online or comparable herbs to assist enhance libido. But it order viagra levitra is different to use. In a year where he’s been playing his best, a year when he’s been working his way back in our favor, he’s got one monkey off his back, the monkey we love to hate. Jay Cutler has beaten the Pack…in Lambeau.  Bravo Jay!  That hate that I still feel for you from the previous Bears packers NFC championship game, all the previous games of this rivalry that you have been involved with, and the past 6 years in general, is a little less today.  It’s amazing what a win like this does.

And if you didn’t understand that this rivalry is still good and well, especially to us fans, now you know. Now you know why losing repeatedly to them helps sustain the hate. Now you know why beating them on a night like this, is so special.

The balls of this Packers team. Going for it on 4th down at midfield to start the game. They must have thought they were going to roll over us again.  I mean, it was 42-0 last year at half. But although this Bears team has many of the same players, we couldn’t be a more different team. Even the Lambeau home field officiating advantage, which is still well and good, couldn’t stop us tonight.  Even a running back who looks like a turkey on his day couldn’t break us. We even got to Rodgers repeatedly.  That’s a big switch for us in this rivalry, seemingly never being able to get to their big guns. Man that felt good.

And for all the 78,000 fans in attendance and all the Packer fans throughout the country, especially those residing in Chicago, how you doing?  I hope we made you sick tonight. I hope you will never forget tonight.  I hope this is a sign that things will be different. The one sided rivalry will be now more in line with the overall series, which now stands at 94-92-6, still in favor of Da Bears. All these years of domination and we’re still leading the all time series. Who’s your daddy?

Ahhhh…so sweet this satisfaction. I’m still going to try and think of the last time I felt this good after a regular season win.  Da Bears season is now a success, regardless of what happens from here on out. It’s gravy time.  I’m feeling like anything could happen now…Bears run the table and make the playoffs. Bears win a playoff game, or two, or three, or four, or not. It doesn’t really matter today. We just punched the Packers in the mouth. We fought back. We won. We ruined their night. We stuck it to one of the all time Bears killers.  Yes!  Bear down!  Ahhhh… I CAN get some satisfaction and it feels so good.

    BEAR DOWN!!!
What a sweet ending to Turkey Day 2015!
Family, food, drinks, and a Bears win over the hated cheese on favre’s night!
It wasn’t a perfect game by the Bears, but they did enough for the victory. The D was great and made the stand to end the game. I know I wasn’t the only one thinking the Bears were in trouble with the ball in rodgers’ hands at the end of the game. All of those close losses make it feel even worse now that the Bears still have a shot at the playoffs. Yes, still 5 games left, but there is a chance, and that is all we can ask for. Thank you Bears!
