November 15, 2019: Week 11 Preview Bears at Rams

posted in: Bears | 0

So the Bears finally found somebody worse than them last Sunday. For good measure, we got their backup QB. This week, we’ll get another bad team. Who is the worse team, Bears or Rams? Welcome to Sunday Night Football.

Vegas says Rams by 7.5 for openers; that line quickly went under the magic 7, currently sitting at 6.5. Too many points! I’m not sure if the Bears will win this straight up, but certainly feel it will be a close game. Neither team playing in this game should be favored by that much over anybody, regardless of who and where. The where isn’t a big deal for the Bears, especially in this case. Two pro football teams in LA? Ha! They can’t even support one. Rams fans will be outnumbered on Sunday night in LA, that you can bet on.

Will the home field advantage on the road be enough? Will the warm weather mean the Rams will play better than they did the last time we saw them? That was a domination. It should have been the Bears not the Rams representing the NFC in the Super Bowl last year; they couldn’t have done worse. I think the Rams peaked last year; you can say the same about the Bears. It’s the disappointment bowl on Sunday night. Winner keeps their thin postseason hopes alive; loser goes home.

Speaking of losers, no not Myles Garrett, I think we’ll get to that tomorrow, this matchup features two young, bad QBs. I was looking at some of the comps….geez, anybody who could make Mitch look good must really be bad himself. Hello Mr. Goof…I mean Goff. He does even worse against good defenses. Question is: how good is the Bears defense nowadays.

Since our trip to London, when the Raiders punched us in the mouth in the first half, when we lost Hicks, the Bears defense has looked average. At the very least, they have not been the same defense as last year. If the Bears are going to win this game, we’ll need a 2018 type effort. I’ve been waiting all year for Pagano to let the dogs out. Was Fangio just that much better?

Final Score Prediction: Bears 23 Rams 17

Ace in the Hole: Bears defense 5 sacks, 3 turnovers, 1 TD

Yes, they’ll keep us hanging on at least for another week. False hope? Maybe. But we’ll take anything we can get right now. Bear Down!
