November 13, 2016: Suckage

posted in: Bears | 1

There is only one team in Chicago that truly “bears” today’s title of Suckage, and that is our very own Chicago Bears.  Brutal, train wreck, utter disappointment are some more terms that could have been used.  Whatever you call it, I think we need to face the facts:  The Bears Suck.

I hate to say it.  I love DA Bears.  To see them play like this, year after year, is like repeatedly getting kicked in the groin.  Sunday’s loss at Tampa Bay was of the steel-toe variety.  So you thought we had some momentum built up after the Vikings win on Monday night?  Well, I wanted to believe that too.  I wanted to believe that the Bears were a much better team than the 2-6 record indicated.  I wanted to believe that Jay had one more decent run in him as Bears QB.  I wanted to believe that after a bye week the Bears would be flying around the field.  I wanted to believe that this team could win some games & make a last minute dash towards the playoffs, or at the very worst, build some positive momentum heading into next year.  The answer is NO on all counts.

Could the Bears win some games this second half?  Sure.  At this point, is it even worth it?  I hate to lose, and losing week after week just ruins my damn Sunday and starts the week off on a bad foot.  How do we break this pattern?  By finishing 2nd to last in the NFL standings this year, that’s how… maybe.  I don’t know… a top draft pick would help.  I see these rookie QBs doing well, and think, why can’t that be us?  Why can’t we draft a true franchise QB that will lead us for the next decade or so… I can dream, can’t I?

Cutler is Cutler is Cutler.  I don’t think we need any further evidence at this point your honor.  We thought we had something, and we got something else, and that something else has been that something else for his entire Bears career.  He’s had some great games, a ton of average games, and some horrible games.  He’s at best, your average NFL QB.  The horrible game Jay reared its head on Sunday in Tampa.  Turnovers and Cutler have been used in the same sentence way too many times in his career.  In fact, maybe they should place a picture of Cutler throwing the ball next to the word Turnover in the NFL dictionary.  2 more picks and 2 more fumbles… it’s not too soon that he plays his last game in a Bears uniform.  He needs to go.  We need to reboot at that position.

No team can be expected to win turning the ball over, especially a bottom feeder like the Bears.  Should they have won some that they lost earlier in the year?  Yes.  This was not one of those games.  The thing that kills me with this game, is that we were coming off a bye week.  And THAT is the product we get to watch on the field?  It’s beyond frustrating at this point.  It’s hard to watch.

When will the suckage end?  To see my Bears so bad, hurts my heart.  It’s turning me off to the entire NFL at this point.  It’s making me hate any good NFL team more than I normally would.  I just can’t even imagine how I would feel had the Cubs not won it all.  With the Bears in the tank, the Bulls in transition, and the Blackhawks… oh yeah, we do have another great team in Chicago.  Time to get our minds off this Bears stuff for a bit.  Time to check in with the Blackhawks.

Hard to watch DA BEARS right now. They gave us a glimmer of hope vs the viqueens, but then showed their true colors vs the bucs. Coming off of a bye week, you really could not tell as the “real” jay showed up again. The Bears did not look like they wanted to play, and why did they abandon running the ball with howard after he gashed them the entire first half. Yes, I know, he did lose a fumble, but if he got benched for that, then jay should never play again. He is the ultimate turnover machine, and the Bears are not good enough to overcome them. Hate seeing the Bears like this, and it looks like it will get worse before it gets better. Get rid of jay and draft a qb…bottom line! This SUCKS!!!
