Ouch!  That was the definition of a tough loss. Just as I thought we had it, the Vikings took it from us.  Rough, rough game.

I was pretty tired. I didn’t get my customary Saturday nap. Yeah, the extra hour on Saturday night should have helped, but my body didn’t figure that out. Got up at 5:15 am. The Bears game was going to be challenged by my potential nap time.

It was touch and go all game. In and out of sleep, catching a series here, a series there.  Robbie was money early. Our special teams not so much. It was a defensive battle going into halftime.  That’s exactly who got us even after 30.

Kyle Fuller made a nice interception of a ball that shouldn’t have been thrown. Jay to Alshon with a beautiful TD right before the half got us even. Now the battle with my sleep got worse.

What the heck happened to Forte?  I saw them flash his return is questionable and was in disbelief. We had been reunited in my fantasy league, the mojo was back…and then it was gone. He may be out for a while…couple weeks minimum. We definitely missed him late in this one.

So Robbie wasn’t perfect; I was awake for that near miss. I also saw Jay plow into the end zone to give us the lead, as I started to beat my sleep. I actually had feelings of strong like for Jay after that. Is that even possible?  Was I still sleeping?  Hey, he hasn’t been so bad this year.  He’s actually making an effort. What a nice win this would be for him.  What a nice win this would be for the Bears.  3-4 and right back in it.

Um, hold on just a minute doc. The Vikings drove right back to tie it. I thought we were money, especially after I thought we broke their QB’s knee on that sack on first down. Yet,on the very next play, he made up that yardage lost plus some as he scrambled for a first down. Impressive I must say. And then who the heck is this Diggs guy?  Somebody I should have grabbed off the waiver wire for sure. Nice catch and run and we’re tied.

We then figured out how we missed Forte after Langford dropped a huge 3rd down pass. The ensuing punt was puzzling too. How could that not be called at the very least running into the kicker?  So because he tried to hold him up its ok?  I call BS. Then of course the Vikes would get right back in FG range.

A Blair Walsh kick down the middle ended us on this Sunday. Who the hell would name their son Blair anyways?  Anyways, it was over. A dagger in the gut. An ugly ugly start to November.

Or is it Nofunber?  Bears now heading to the West Coast for a prime time showdown without their best RB.  Season on the line?  Or was it never even a question this year?

I’d like to think it was. I’d like to think we had a chance. At 2-5, the season is about to get away from us, but one thing provides hope. That one thing that could cure all. A win. We need one badly.  We need one now.

My lack of comments hiatus is over…been slackin ever since the Cubs got knocked out. I guess a sweep will do that to you…oh well, life rolls along!
Last 2 games for the Bears were winnable, but they found ways to lose both. That is the difference between good teams and bad, playoffs and draft picks. Hate to say it, but the playoffs look to be missed again.
Langford dropped a huge pass. Rolle was waiting for the ball to come down like he was the only guy on the field. Winning in sd wont be easy, but it is another winnable game. Forte will be missed but maybe the Bears can find a way to win instead of lose.
    BEAR DOWN!!!
