May 7, 2015: The Tale of Two Games

posted in: Bulls | 2

Took me a while to get this one posted today… First off, too fricking busy, and secondly, who the heck wants to rehash a game like that?  I know I wished I had never watched it, except for the hard foul Hinrich made on LBJ, and the dunk Dunleavy (yeah, dunk, and yes, Dunleavy) made over the same self proclaimed king.  There was little positives to take away from Game 2’s loss in Cleveland.

As a fan, it’s just flat out maddening.  Who the heck were those guys out there?  It sure wasn’t the same team that beat the Cavs in Game 1.  It sure isn’t the team who has been waiting for this opportunity for 3 years.  It sure wasn’t the team who maybe has the best possible chance at a title run staring them in the face in these 2015 NBA playoffs.  I was pissed off right out of the gate; yelling at the TV, while my son asks me from the bathroom “what happened Dad?”.  I should have just stopped watching at that point, but you know we’re gluttons for punishment.  I sat through most of the game, minus a quick dog walk at the start of the 4th, becoming totally frustrated.

I always search for positives any time this happens, and yes, there is one big positive here.  The fact that we actually DID win a game in Cleveland.  So we stole back the home court advantage, which could become critical the longer this series goes.  I’m thinking minimum 6, probably 7 for this series.  The NBA/TNT/ESPN/ABC would certainly like that.  Lots of ratings and dollars to be scooped up in these games.

In such a situation parenteral care can be of great use in gauging the humidity, buy levitra where and wetness in some various substances. This stage can be an enthusiastic reaction. viagra without buy prescription You know who has been pissing me off the most?  Pau Gasol.  Yeah, I know he’s had an awesome regular season; one of the best free agent signings ever by the Bulls.  Yet, now, in these playoffs, he seems to be morphing into the Gasol I remember talking crap about in LA; that soft ass European who is afraid to play defense, afraid to mix it up and get a rebound, and content for shooting mid range jumpers.  Yes, that worked out OK in Game 1 because he was ON FIRE.  Last night, not so much.  I know he wasn’t the only one.  Yet, one of the biggest stats that stood out last night was how we got outrebounded.  We were outrebounded by 8, and 3 on the offensive end; it was probably worse than that before garbage time.  Another telling stat was the turnovers.  The Bulls only finished with 12… not so bad considering their playoff troubles.  The only thing about those 12 is that 7 of them happened in the first quarter!!!  Now you can see why this one got ugly quick.

It was that Bulls team that looked uninspired; I can’t imagine how they would look like that NOW, against THIS team.  But they did, and they got pounded for it.  This isn’t the Bucks.  We can’t play like crap and think we have a chance to win.  We will get slaughtered if we come out with that type of effort.  It’s these inconsistencies that make me think FIX… but watching the Bulls play all year, this is something we’re kind of used to.  I’m not sure exactly why, but they better play better ASAP or we’ll be looking at the same result we’ve had against a Lebron team every time in the past.

That’s the thing.  This is our BEST chance to beat him.  If we don’t win now, I don’t think THIS team ever will.  No pressure guys, but that’s kind of how I feel.  We DID get one in Cleveland, and I’m not scared of JR Smith coming back, so… we’re OK… I guess.  Only one way to find out… stay tuned.  The return to the UC starts Friday night, and I’m thinking the fans will be a little into it… let’s just hope the players on the court are as much into as we are.

Didnt see a single play and Im glad. This was a must game for the cavs. Dropping both games at home would have probably sealed their fate. So let’s be happy with the game 1 win, forget about game 2, and come home to the UC, which will be rocking, to take care of business. See red…GO BULLS!!!
