Why’d you ever screw with the mojo Joe?
Funny enough, or sad enough, the Cubs haven’t won since that day where Joe changed up the lineup during a 5 game winning streak. The losses to the Rockies were… whatever. A 5-2 home stand will be taken every single time. But, the 3 games in St. Louis… ouch!
Man I hate losing to those bastards. The bats again, silent in the first loss, with a comeback coming up short. But then the blown save on Saturday. Was that Morrow’s first BS of the season? I like how BS is the abbreviation for Blown Save. The bullpen had done such a magnificent job that game, and then we had to give it up. That one hurt… and worst yet, I watched every part of that blown save.
It would have been less painful had I not watched it. Seeing Wong hit that bomb, and then flip his bat… haha. Love the bat flips when they’re us doing it, but seeing somebody else do it to us, not so fun. The Cubs did score 6 runs in this one. That should have been enough.
Then it was onto Sunday night. It was a long day. Finally got a chance to get out and do some yard work. Funny to say that now that we actually own a house and have a yard. Yeah, picking those weeds is a blast. It was a nice day out, so I didn’t mind. Then after that, headed to the park with the boy to play some catch. Have to shake off some of the rust; baseball practice starts next week! After that, hit the playground for a bit; we had fun. Then it was back for some lunch, and a movie. Black Panther is a pretty good flick.
Then it was the Cubs game… that was delayed a few times. So, got to watch a couple other shows with the wifey, before turning back to the Cubs. Took that opportunity to catch up on these here blogs. I have to be honest… I’m typing this up and the game is still not over yet. But sitting here in the 11th inning, this just feels like it’s going to end badly.

So yeah, it would be a sweep, five losses in a row, o fer in May, 3.5 games out of first, and only 1 game above 500. Yeah, it’s back to talking about the Cubs slow start… haha.
Just get it over with already… just end this misery. I’m trying to play a little reverse psychology here, hoping for a Cubs win to end this Sunday, and start the new week off on the right foot.
I’m getting tired now.. just watching the Pujols 3000th hit. It’s always pretty cool. Really didn’t seem to get enough press as it usually does. Have Pujols on my fantasy team right now; he’s been doing pretty well all year actually, surprisingly.
Now Montgomery comes out… when are we going to trade this guy? He obviously wants to start, and we keep him locked up in the bullpen. Him and Russell for Machado? And now the Cardinals MVP board… excuse me, I’m walking to the toilet to throw up.

O fers are never good, but the prolonged ones hurt the most. To get swept by the red turds hurts. We clinched on their field last year, and they got a little payback this year with a sweep. I’ll take it as long as the Cubs celebrate on their field again later this season. Morrow blowing a save will happen…dont make it a habit, though. The Cubs have yet to out it all together and are still above .500. No need to panic, sit back and enjoy the ride. GO CUBS GO!!!
