May 31, 2016: Taking Off

I shouldn’t even be up right now.  Just figured I’d knock this one out before taking off.  It’s been a long time coming… vacation is finally here.

What does a Chicago sports fan pack when going on vacation?  First thing is first, I always wear a hat when I travel.  It’s either a Bears hat, or like this trip. a Cubs hat… of course.  That’s the only Chicago part of my wardrobe flying or driving out.  The rest of the gear is packed away.

I have a Blackhawks shirt, that has the feathers looking like the Chicago skyline; pretty cool T…thanks babe.  I have a Cubs Joe Maddon shirt that I got from my brother in law.  I just picked up a new Bears t-shirt this past weekend, and that’s in my bag.  And then I have my Bulls sleeveless shirt… I think that covers it.  I think I have another Bears shirt too.. can’t remember right now.  Bottom line is, I’m representing… always.

It’s not just me, so I need to make sure my son is prepared too.  Sidenote… I’m not sure if my wife packed any Chicago sports gear.  Not exactly on the top of her priority list when packing, which is a stressful enough task.  I’m not even going there.  But my son, yes, I made sure he had his Cubs and Blackhawks t-shirts in that suitcase.  As far as his hat my wife asks me… uh, duh… Cubs hat.

Perhaps, you would have listened about Kamagra, cheapest cialis selling here, Silagra Tablets, Lovegra Tablets, and cialis etc. For quick cure for the sexual dysfunction, you should cialis price canada buy Kamagra online. Grind fenugreek seeds pills viagra canada in to a fine powder and take 2 tablespoons every day. Overdosage : If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control purchase of levitra center or emergency room for chest pain, or after a heart attack. Here’s the thing.  I’m rocking my Chicago teams gear any time… any year… regardless of recent performance.  So when my wife asked me why I got that Bears shirt, and why I was looking forward to wearing it because they suck, I said so what?  I’d wear it if they were 0-16 or 16-0.  Yeah, it’s like that.  But it is always nicer when your teams are winning, and that’s where we’re at with the Cubbies right now.

Even if I see somebody with White Sox gear on, I’ll give a nod too…. we’re out of town, and we’re both representing Chicago.  Within city limits, I’m sure we’d talk crap to each other, but let that stay there.  That stuff doesn’t travel across the country.  We stand together as Chicago fans… at least that’s the way I see it.

I wonder how hard it will be for me to keep my daily postings up this trip.  Some trips are harder than others.  That’s why I wanted to get this last one in before we left city limits.  We’ll see what kind of stories I have throughout the trip… plenty of stories, but how many related to Chicago sports.  There’s always a bunch of those, especially where I’m going.  Heading west is where I’ll be… hitting that famous town in the middle of the desert before enjoying the West Coast.  I’m sure there will be stories to tell.  I’m still going to try to catch my Cubs games, although that definitely won’t be the top priority.

Will I put some money on the Cubs to win the World Series?  I think that’s a good bet, but I’m not convinced I’ll make it.  There’s enough riding… enough invested in this Cubs year before involving any monetary funds.  We’ll figure it out… hold down the fort while I’m gone, and we’ll be back soon.  Until then, reporting from outside city limits, I’ll talk to you soon.

Chicago gear is a must whenever you leave town. Representing your teams, no matter how good or bad, lets everybody know where you’re from. When the teams are bad, you only see the die hards wearing gear. When the teams are good, you see a lot of bandwagon fans wearing gear. Either way, seeing your teams gear when out of town is pretty cool…easy conversation starter at the tables or on the strip. Viva Las Vegas…put some money on the Cubs and Bears to win it all…why not? Small wager for a huge surprise! Hit 22 a few times, too, and shot it up!
    Enjoy!
