We’re baaack… Yeah, this every day posting blogger hasn’t been that, but I’m back now. I carved out some time this evening, and I’m back. Great day to be back today by the way…
Let’s start with the Cubs winning. It started off shaky though. When Happ popped out in the first on the first pitch with the bases loaded, and then he missed a ball in CF, I started getting mad; where’s Almora!?!?! Haha…
But the Cubs prevailed. Some big bops by Rizzo, Zobrist, and Schwarber… the bottom of the 9th was a bit interesting, but we got the W, and… the Brewers lost, yes! How long are they going to keep this up anyways? Not too much longer…
Following all the highlights this evening brought me to the future Cubs matchup with Machado and Harper. Both went deep tonight. Both trying to make their case to the Cubs… They are both trying to put their best foot forward, as the Cubs decide who they will court in the offseason… and in Machado’s case, maybe this season. Like I said, the answer is BOTH!
Then I saw Arrieta pitching in LA…. good memories there eh? Funny enough I saw him field a grounder and throw to 2B to start a double play. Earlier in the night, Lester caught a grounder and bounced one to 2B to only get one out. Due to his throwing issues, the Cubs were prevented from turning a double play. It didn’t burn us on this evening, but… it’s a strange thing to have to overcome with a multi million dollar pitcher. Jake doesn’t have that problem… Speaking of teams who may not last on top… how about those Phillies? The Nationals have been rolling and will be taking them over soon. But what about the other NL East contender? The Braves had a nice comeback tonight.

And then there was ex-Cub Gleyber Torres. He got the walk off hit in the Bronx. How good has he been? Good for him; again, not mad at all about the Cubs dealing him for Chapman. 2016 baby!
Yes, then I flipped on MLB tonight as I continued to fly through my blogs. Love that show. Don’t watch it nearly enough. Those guys are good. I love baseball. It’s a good scouting report for my fantasy team as well; 4-4 by the way there.
Like I said, today was a great day to be back. Caught up on all my blogs; current, at least for another 30 minutes. Another part of what made today great is that my number one commenter is OK. Had some stuff going on, but he’s good to go, and that’s a relief. Now it’s time to catch up on your comments buddy…
Yeah, covered a wide range of topics tonight; honestly, still have so many more to hit. Didn’t even talk NBA… gosh, do I have to. Maybe I’ll do that next… Good night.
