When these NBA Finals started, the first without a team Lebron ran to, my preferred choice to win it all was anybody but the Warriors. After the Raptors eliminated the Bucks, they are the last hope. It doesn’t look good.
Why hate on the Warriors? Let me count the ways. They’ve been winning too much for starters. Any team that doesn’t start with Chicago, I don’t want to see win multiple times. Once, fine. No more than that. The fact that they broke the Bulls 72-10 mark; that hurt. Yet, they couldn’t close the deal…and I found myself in the strange space of being a little happy that a Lebron team won. The fact that KD went there to make it totally unfair for the rest of the NBA. It was bad enough with the guys they had… And this year, they could three peat, but worse, they could pass the Bulls with 7 NBA titles, although 2 of them were in Phladelphia, so that really shouldn’t count. I can go on, but I think I covered the main points.
No team from the West could step up. Sorry ass Rockets. Now I have to rely on the East…was hoping Boston would do it, but I’m kind of glad that didn’t play out. Do you know if the Bruins win they’ll currently be holding 3 of the 4 major sports titles? That’s just sick. And then the Sixers…those divas flamed out. Then I was left with the Raptors or Bucks. I wanted the Bucks to win for the sole reason that I thought they had a better chance to beat the Warriors. The Raptors ended that, and you know what…I’m happy for them, everybody expect their obnoxious superfan. How good is Leonard? Great, great player, but will he be able to lead the Raptors over the mighty Warriors? Most likely not.

The hating is almost over…for now. The NHL and NBA playoffs are almost over. Switching to Cubs exclusively and waiting for the Bears, I hope we can currently hold 2 titles at the same time. Until then, hate hate hate. Go Raptors!
