For the 4th year in a row, the Bulls have missed the playoffs; it became official when the Wizards beat the Cavs on Friday night. Doesn’t it suck having to root for some other team, like the Cavs for God’s Sake, to beat another team to save OUR playoff lives? That’s pathetic. If the Bulls needed help from some other team to make the playoffs, especially THIS year, when you can get in finishing 10th!?! Talk about pathetic… but, to root for some other team we don’t even like, that isn’t even that good, guess what? They probably don’t deserve to be in the playoffs anyways. I thought they were a playoff team this year; I was wrong.
I thought the Bulls were a playoff team BEFORE the trade; I certainly thought they were one AFTER the trade. Wrong on both counts. I still think it was a good trade, I really do. Guess it takes longer for guys to gel; I think I’m chalking it up to that right now. I hope it’s nothing worse than that. I guess we’ll have the answer to that question about a year from now. Certainly NEXT year this Bulls team is a playoff team, right? Well…
Zach isn’t going anywhere; he and Vooch are the 1-2 punch, regardless of how strong you think that combination is. Look, that duo should be good enough to be able to get the Bulls into the playoffs; how far they can go after that, is a question for another day. The Bulls need to make the playoffs first. If they can’t even do that… well, if those 2 can’t get this Bulls team in the playoffs… it does take more than 2 though, right?

On this current roster, yes; how does that “big 3” sound? Look, I was on the fence about Coby most of the year until that one game against the Heat in Miami I believe, the one where Denzel needlessly fired one from “5 point” range late in the game. Yeah, I saw Coby’s heart on display there, and if you have NBA level talent AND you play with that kind of heart… I don’t care if he’s #3, 4, or 5, I want Coby White on this team, period. After that, you got Patrick Williams, and eventually, AKME’s other draft pick in Europe currently, most likely Lauri’s replacement; are we just going to let Lauri walk? I’m sure we could have got something for him, no? Because he is gone, yes? Thies was a nice pickup; this other guy Green too? Where will the Bulls improve this roster? Surely, it will improve playing together for an offseason, improving with each regular season game they play, but how about some more horses? How about some different horses? AKME’s work on this roster isn’t done. He surprised us on draft night. He surprised us with the trade. What is next up his sleeve?
Well, next is draft night, and the Bulls percentages to get in the top 4, to avoid giving the Magic our first round pick, are not that great, but… they will be better than when we lucked out and got the kid from Chicago. Can the Bulls hit jackpot again? If that were to happen, that’s an instant boost for this roster; if it doesn’t, well, there are always trades to be made, free agents to sign, and I’ll tell you what: I trust AKME a lot more than those other guys, although even AKME’s actions thus far couldn’t get us into the playoffs; surely, AKME is not the problem here… surely, we’ll find out who that problem is, sooner rather than later, because not making the playoffs… is NOT acceptable. If I expected the Bulls to make the playoffs this year, I certainly expect them to make them next year… I am disappointed right now, but hope is not lost: no more Bull though. This needs to be the last year we’re feeling this “missing the playoffs” disappointment. I trust that this will be the case… it better be. Go Bulls!
