May 13, 2015: Backs Against Wall

posted in: Bulls | 1

Well, we’ve reached the end of the road.  There are no more turns, no more breaks, and no more margins for error.  It’s time to put those backs firmly against the wall, and fight until the bitter end.  Do we have that in us?

I say yes.  That’s why I say the Bulls are down but not out.  Yeah, Game 4 was brutal, and last night Game 5 was right up there too.  Down 3-2 in the series, the Bulls face 2 must win games on Thursday and Sunday.  These are the true definitions of MUST WIN games.

That term is thrown around throughout the playoffs, and I hate that.  I’m pretty sure I’ve bitched about it here before.  Game 3 was NOT a must win.  Game 4 was NOT a must win.  Game 5 was NOT a must win.  Game 6 & Game 7 ARE must wins.  Must wins= a game that if lost means the end of your season.  Sure, you don’t want to put yourself in a hole, and you want to win your home games, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a MUST win.  Only in this situation… when you’ve already lost 3 games in a playoff series, does the MUST WIN adjective come into play.  The Bulls are now there.

I actually only watched the first half, got updates through the 3rd quarter, and had no idea what happened in the 4th quarter until the game was over.  Prior committments led me to this ridiculous situation of not being able to watch a pivotal playoff game like this.  When my phone was turned back on, and the text messages started pouring in, I found out what I was anxiously waiting to find out; our Bulls had lost another heartbreaker.  What happened?

First thing my wife told me was how Taj Gibson got wrongly ejected.  This has become obvious at this point to me; how the officials are controlling this series, and dictating that the LBJ return to Cleveland road to glory story is better than the Chicago we’ve paid our dues it’s our time story.  Then she said a Cleveland fan threw something at him as he left the court.  OK…

You can either seek help from a physician or prompt viagra 100mg sildenafil consult to a dental professional about your intent to stop. Next my brother told me about Rose missing his last 10 shots or so, even though the Bulls had come back from down 17 to pull within 2 late in the game.  That can’t help.  Another hole dug by our Bulls… we’ve seen this story before haven’t we?

The offensive droughts that the Bulls have went through… The falling behind in a game and relying on a huge comeback….  The quarters throughout the season where the Bulls seem to zone out…  These are all coming back to hurt us.  It didn’t against the Bucks, but against a good team (just good) like Cleveland, it has.  So, now what?

Well, now we fight our asses off.  Just know in Game 6 the entire UC will be behind you… cheering you on… booing the drama queen every time he touches the ball.  You will have us 110% in your corner; if we could, we’d get out there and fight to.  If there are Cav fans in the stadium, that may happen anyways.  It’s all out war.  Our season is on the line.  You will have our support in Game 6.

One game at a time they say.  We need to win Game 6 to force a Game 7, and then we can focus on that.  You can’t win 2 games on the same night.  It’s got to be a full team effort.  No mental lapses.  No shooting droughts; and yes, sometimes the shot may not be falling, but guess what… TAKE IT TO THE HOLE then!!!

This was supposed to be our year.  Now the season is on the brink of a disappointing end.  I don’t even want to think about that, or what will happen if the Bulls lose again to LBJ.  We’re down but not out.  Our backs are against the wall.  It’s time to fight like we’ve never fought before.  It’s OUR time.  The time is now.  It’s now or never…

Bulls will not lose game 6…mark my words, this series is going 7 and will come down to Sunday. The terrible call of ejecting Taj hurt the Bulls badly last night. I do not understand in times like these with technology and replay, how the officials can continue to make calls like this. Delladummy gets nothing for scissor locking Taj’s leg? How about double technicals and play on. The NBA is a joke. Half the time physical play is allowed. The other half, hands off, don’t touch me. These prima donnas would get their asses kicked back in the glory days of the NBA, 80s and early 90s. They think these games are physical, they have no idea. Baby james crying for everything. He had a great game for the cavs, but somebody on the Bulls needs to lay his ass out. Believe me, he will think twice about coming into the lane. He does not have the intestinal fortitude. I would much rather see him chucking up shots from the outside than getting easy buckets in the paint…would love to see his fg % on shots outside of 15 feet. The Bulls keep having droughts, whether as a team or individually. Drose cannot miss so many shots in a row, especially when working from behind like last night. The Bulls still had their shot, but Noah being exhausted couldn’t grab that rebound when needed. The UC will be rockin on Thursday. Time for the Bulls to show us what they are made of. This series is not over. Game 6 will add another chapter and game 7 will prove who wants it. This is your time Bulls…play like you want it. Play with some desperation. Your season and some jobs are on the line. GO BULLS!!!
