March 26, 2023: Four for Four

There were four games held this weekend in the college bball tourney; would you believe me if I told you I picked all of them right??? Yeah, no wrong pick that I bet more on than my right picks to turn what should be a winning day to a losing day. Just pure right picks all weekend long… yeah, it happened.

I was initially convinced Kansas State would win, but… then I reconsidered. I thought, out of the 4 games, which one seems like the easiest? Yeah, a big 12 team, the toughest conference in the country, vs some no-name school. And the spread was only a point or so? I flipped and went FAU ML; obviously I was happy I did. Then the other Saturday game, where I was on UCONN and thinking about changing, because I thought one of the reasons I was on them was because I hated Gonzaga so much for beating UCLA and costing me a lot of dough… I stuck with them. I thought they were the better team period, and it wasn’t close; well, they were, and yeah, it wasn’t close. Blowout city. I was so happy seeing the Zags get their assess pounded. I think it’s about time to drop a Hate File on them, now that I can dance on their grave… haha. I thought UCONN will be the National Champ in about a week…

On to Sunday, my best betting day in a while. I was on the Aztecs. I figured it would be a close game, but with a team full of seniors (not sure what Creighton has… haha) and some revenge from last year’s tourney when Creighton eliminated them 1st round that I found out later (yes, this fact pushed me to take the Aztecs in game too a few times), I was feeling pretty good. It was a very strange ending… the way SDSU threw that ball away right by their own basket with like 30 seconds left. Then the foul call… it WAS a foul, and yes, a foul is a foul is a foul, but at that very moment… tough to decide the game like that. Then the inbounds pass that was deflected (by who) thrown by a guy who looked to step on the line, then to decide how much time was left… crazy ending, but a very good one for me. The final game I was on the U… plus the points and ML and the 2nd part of a boosted parlay with the Aztecs. I saw them losing by double digits in the 2nd half; welp, it was a nice run… then we finally turned it on, and it was close. They came back and beat Texas, giving me a full sweep on the day of college bball. Not only that, I was on the Bulls ML and the Canucks ML… yeah, 10+ unit day… bam!

So now what? With only 3 college basketball games left, will I take a break? Will I cash out? TBD… but yeah, there are some games left, and I wanted to use my boosted parlay, so… I took FAU ML vs San Diego St, and Miami +5.5 vs UCONN. Those were my initial feelings on the games; waiting to bet individual until later in the week, where I read some more, and noodle it some more… I was proud of myself on Saturday when I took FAU because that was against my initial lean; I actually did it… I flipped one of my picks… that’s a rarity, but something that is necessary once in a while to make some money, because nobody is always right, right? Four for four baby! Let’s end with 3 more Ws. Good luck!
