March 20, 2017: Won’t Stop

posted in: Blackhawks | 1

They look damn good don’t they?  The Blackhawks have been rolling; that’s an understatement.  Yeah, they had their little 2 game slip up, but seriously… 17-3 since February 1st?!?!  They just won’t stop.

They actually clinched a playoff spot with their victory over the Avalanche on Sunday.  This was the earliest they clinched a playoff spot in a full season under Coach Q.  Like my son’s life size Darth Vader says:  Impressive, most impressive.

Is it that impressive, or is the rest of the West not as good any more?  Maybe that plays a part in it.  I still say getting out of the West will be tougher than whoever we would potentially face in the Finals; just my 2 cents.

I was able to see some of the Montreal and Colorado game.  I’ll tell you what.. I didn’t know his name when I first mentioned him, but John Hayden looks like the real deal.  He scored his first goal, off a beautiful pass from Toews, with an all-in-one-motion kick from skate to stick to top shelf goal.  He just looks confident out there, doesn’t he?  He throws his weight around too.  Can’t remember the exact hit, but I do remember him smashing someone along the boards.  That’s nice to see for a change.  Another good young player for the Blackhawks; this is how you stay good for a long time.  Keep reloading with talent.

Yashtimadhuk and Kuchla (Strychnos levitra 60 mg nuxvomica) structure the backbone of treatment for this infection. I wasn’t exclusively on the Colorado game on Sunday, with all the March Madness going on.  I did see the Toews goal, although it appeared he was pretty clearly off sides after watching the replay.  I know we benefited, but don’t understand how they can screw up something so obvious.  That’s a bit scary heading into the postseason where a bone headed review call could screw us.  After seeing that goal stand, I flipped to the NCAA.  When I flipped back, I swear it was only 5 minutes later, the Hawks had scored 2 more goals, taking a 4-3 lead.  As I was listening to the announcement of the most recent goal by Bread Man, Toews put in another.  What a turnaround!  I thought for sure this was a let down game, at home against these bums, but the Hawks turned it on in the 3rd and got the W.

I can’t wait for the playoffs to start.  It’s pretty much a done deal that we will be the #1 seed in the West.  Talk about the wheels falling off… the Wild have dropped 7 points behind, and I don’t care how many damn games they still have in hand…haha.  They’re done.  A potential first round re-match with the Blues lies ahead; I’m good with that.

As if the 4th Cup wouldn’t be motivation enough, throw in a little revenge factor to get the boys stirred up, and us fans, and that makes for some can’t miss hockey.  I’d love to pay them back for last year… by sweeping their ass.  They’ve been playing well too, but nobody has been as hot as our Hawks.

Next up on the menu, the Vancouver Canucks.  10 games to go until the quest for 4 this decade begins; there’s a catchy slogan in there somewhere.  One More for Four?  See you Tuesday night.  Go Hawks.

Blackhawks have been rolling. A 5 goal 3rd period will pretty much put any team away and did vs the avs. Thought the Bhawks wouldn’t catch the wild…man was I wrong. They caught and flew past em, and now the west looks to be the Bhawks. A #1 seed and home ice throughout sounds pretty damn good. Toss in how good the Bhawks play on the road as well as how hot they have been, and they are looking more and more like Cup favorites. The west will not be easy, and whoever makes it from the east will not, either. Let’s hope the Bhawks and us find it all out on the way to a 4th Cup in 8 years!
    GO BHAWKS!!!
