March 1, 2017: Stanley Cup Preview

posted in: Blackhawks | 1

I’d be OK with that.  Meeting the Penguins in the Stanley Cup Finals would be easy on the eyes… kind of like the game Wednesday night.

There would be no shortage of star power.  Our stars shone brighter on this night.  It was pegged as Crosby vs Toews, but someone seemed to feel left out.  Hatrick Kane as he goes by nowadays, poured in another 3 goals, as the Blackhawks smacked the Penguins 4-1.

It would be nice to play somebody different in the Stanley Cup too.  I don’t want to see the Flyers, Bruins, or Lightning.  It was kind of like when the Bulls had to play the Jazz again in back to back years in the Finals.  Give us a different team to beat up on.  The Penguins would fit that bill.

It wouldn’t be easy… and let’s face it, it’s no slam dunk getting through the West.  You just know it’s going to be one hell of a dog fight.  Probably some 7 game series will be in our future.  But you know what?  I can’t wait.

The Blackhawks are red hot.  9-1 in February, and now, started off March with a W.  They are clicking on all cylinders.  I just hope they aren’t peaking too early.  We still have a little bit to go before the real season begins, but what is there NOT to feel good about?

Therefore, you must drink a warm glass of water. cheapest price for cialis For example, my former husband finally quit smoking when his physician gave him this choice. “You viagra canada quit or you die.” He made the right choice for them or not. If you find that erection is cheap super cialis causing you a pain in the penis or while erection then straight away stop its intake. The process involves latching on and breaking down of enzymes (turn off), thereby viagra canada cheap making the effect long period. Our goalies are lock down.  Both of them have an outstanding GAA; a whole goal better than Fleury for the Penguins by the way.  And in the playoffs, when offense is at a premium, and goaltending needs to win some games for you, what better combo to have than Crow and Darling.  Yes, it will present an interesting offseason decision, but that’ll hopefully be after another parade.  I’m really thinking the decision will be based on the pair’s postseason performance.  If Crow falters, and Darling comes in hot…  you never know, but again, as long as we’re raising the Cup again.

The defense has a familiar face back.  Oduya!!!!  My nephew will be happy that his favorite player, or at least the name he likes saying the most, is back.  I like it too.  With TVR and Campbell, we were already deeper than we normally are back there, but I like seeing an addition there.

Then what about the guys putting the puck in the net.  Yeah, 7 of them with 15 or more goals.  The play of Toews seems to have woken up the other half of the dynamic duo, who has 2 hat tricks in the past week.  Love it.  And then the young guys… that’s what makes it really exciting.  Schmaltz who has been great on the 1st line, went to center the 2nd line when Anisimov went off vs the Pens, and you saw what happened there.  Magic baby!  And Hartman… and how about that goal by Panik?

It was another pleasant viewing experience.  Talk about the complete opposite of watching a Bulls game…  Yes, I’m excited to watch the game, and usually very satisfied with the results.  Wednesday night was another 5 star performance.

I’m ready for the playoffs right now.  I still think we can catch the Wild, but it really doesn’t matter.  If the Hawks continue to play at this level, the only question is who will we be playing in the Finals.  Penguins?  Sure… bring them on.  I know we’ve done well against them lately, and have our only Winter Classic win in Soldier Field against them, but don’t we still owe them from 1992.  19 regular season games to go.  Go Blackhawks!

Bring on the defending champ pens! The Bhawks are hot. The dynamic dup is hot and trickin it. The crow/darling duo is stone wallin. Welcome back ODUUUYAAA! My lil guy is very happy he is back. The D is better than it has been in past Cup runs with keith, seabs, hammer, campbell, oduya, tvr, and kempny. I am leaving off roszival hoping he will not be dressing…haha. If the Bhawks can score like they have been, watch out. Yes, I know things tighten up in the playoffs, but I know the Bhawks will not be. They are Cup ready right now…ready to play at the UC or on the road. Love watching the Bhawks play so well…keep this roll going on the way to the Cup!
