“Baez Go Boom”… that’s what I texted my brother when Javy went oppo to give the Cubs the lead in the bottom of the 8th inning on Sunday against the Mets. It was much needed. Cubs salvaged a split with the Mets, and held onto 1st place in the NL Central by the slimmest of margins.
I read some interesting stuff after the game. With that home run being the 100th for Javy, he joined Rizzo and Bryant to make the Cubs the only team with 3 active players to hit 100+ home runs before turning 27. It feels like these Cubs have been around for a long time; there’s always that fear in the back of my head about their window, and how long it will stay open. When I read something like that, I am reminded just how young this Cubs team is. Sure, I don’t want to take it for granted… that the Cubs are so good, and we’re still so young, because things can change. Injuries, trades, guys leaving for free agency… we don’t want to deal with any of this, at least when it comes to “the big 3”, but you never know. And also, more concrete than that, is that time flies. I want this golden era of Cubs baseball to last forever. I also want a couple more World Series titles. At the same time, I’m going to cherish each and every game right now; I’m going to appreciate what these guys are bringing to the table on a night in night out basis. The Cubs are stacked; we’re very lucky. We have our World Series. But, we should win more…

These medicines viagra in india are sold on authorized drug stores and web pharmacies. The 0-2 stuff is the other interesting information I read about Javy. He has hit 9 home runs after falling behind in the count 0-2. That’s as many as the Red Sox, Phillies, and White Sox hit as an entire team. That’s crazy to think about. Another one is his average at that count: it’s 314. The MLB average is 152. After he hits that count, it’s 296; the MLB average is 165. Javy is a bad ball hitter. Yeah, he still strikes out a ton, but he can get to a lot of pitches… and do damage to them. If I were an opposing team, you definitely want to make him swing at something out of the zone. The thing is, if you don’t get it enough out of the zone, he’ll make you pay. Better keep that slider down and away… better keep that fastball at least shoulder high… if you don’t, Baez is jogging around those bases. It’s fun to see. He definitely is one of the most, if not THE most, exciting players in baseball, and we get to see him every game. Again, definitely not taking this for granted.
So as Machado and Harper go by the boards, without the Cubs signing them, just remember… we have to pay OUR guys. Baez, Bryant, Rizzo… who would you rather have? I’m good with keeping our big 3 right where they’re at for a long, long time. Go Cubs!
