June 24, 2015: Cellar Sox

At 31-40, the White Sox are in last place in the AL Central. Currently, that record is good for worst in the AL. This isn’t going according to plan.

The fire Ventura website should be going strong right now.  I thought it was a horrible hire from the get go. The only thing that I liked about it was that he was an ex-sox player. Other than that sentimental fact, he had no experience.  Is it time for this experiment to finally be trashed?

They won’t fire him from what you hear. Reinsdorf is too loyal. Yet, he did can Ozzie, but that was after a falling out with Kenny. He did fire Thibodeau, but that was after a falling out with garpax.  So as long as robin stays cool and plays the puppet role to a tee, he’s safe. That’s bad news for the Sox.

Trade Chris Sale?  I saw the title of an article suggesting that. I think it’s nuts. He’s one of the best in the game. Why on earth would you trade him unless you’re anticipating an injury, but who has that crystal ball?  He’s got to be as close to an untouchable there is, yet is there really anybody that is like that. If some team came and offered a ridiculous 12 players for 1 Herschel walker type deal, who wouldn’t jump on that?  Is somebody willing to give up the mother load for Sale?  That’s the only way I see it making sense.

Shark has been a disappointment. He could be traded easily at mid season playing on the last year of his deal.  Could he come back to the Cubs?  Would you want him back?  After all that rah rah Sox stuff?  Rodon has been inconsistent, but the signs are there. He should be just fine. No need to burn him out this year.  But this year is not over yet…

We’re not at the halfway yet. Long way to go. Is it too late for the Sox?  Are they resigned to their sellers fate at the break?  Or can this ship be turned around?

Sox fans speak up. What’s it going to be?  I dedicated a blog to the Sox…help me out. Why is this team underperforming?  No way did I expect this from them.  I thought they would have a better record than the Cubs possibly. That seems like a ripped up Vegas wager slip at this point…or is it?  What will it take to save the Cellar Sox?
