June 12, 2017: GLOAT

And another NBA season is in the books.  The Golden State Warriors won their fifth franchise title (didn’t realize the Philadelphia Warriors who won two back in the day were the same franchise) by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers.  We knew this was coming.

We knew since the get go who would be in the Finals.  We know who will be in the Finals next year.  Is this a great or boring era in the NBA?  I vote for boring.  Seeing the same teams pile up on the talent to skew the court so bad… Who can beat either of these teams in a 7 game series?

Yes, in part three, the Warriors took the rubber match.  A 73 win team that added ring chaser KD was too much for anybody to handle.  I’m not going to crown them best ever; you know better.  They were a great team…a super team some may say.  I just think it’s unfair.  I guess we always think it’s unfair when our team is not winning…

Even LeBron feels that way.  I heard he really acted nonchalant in the postgame interviews.  He averaged a triple double, so you can’t say anything about his individual performance, and believe me, he knows that.  But his team wasn’t good enough.  His “super team” wasn’t super enough.  But according to him, he never played on one.

So his Heat team didn’t stack the deck?  He didn’t stack the deck with his Cavs this time around?  It’s funny.  Even he is going to complain about this Warriors team, and what KD did.  Just because they were more super than him. Yeah, I guess we always think it’s unfair when our team is losing.

Yes, LeBron has won 3 titles, and not on stacked teams (wink wink), but now, he has become only the fourth player in NBA history to lose 5 times in the NBA Finals.  Just the facts jack, just the facts.  Now, the self proclaimed king, the right now generation’s GOAT, is now a five time loser on the biggest stage.  Some things just don’t go together in the same sentence.
