My wife wanted to…go to a Cubs game and sit in the bleachers. We’ve had some memorable games there.
At one of the crosstown games, there was some excitement in the form of bloody guys being escorted out. I swear, I leave for one minute to get some food, and I missed it all. Don’t think the Cubs fans sitting in that section appreciated the Sox fans with their brooms sitting in the front row on that Sunday afternoon. It didn’t happen by the way, but the Sox still got the series.
Another visit to the bleachers was fun. It was a hot, I mean HOT, summer day; the game was against the Astros. I don’t even remember who won; yeah, it was that kind of fun. The drinks were flowing, but what I do remember is that we were showered with a hose between innings a few times; it was awesome. I think that was the only way we made it through that heat.
So back to being bleacher bums it was on Wednesday afternoon against the Rays. The game didn’t disappoint, and neither did the fans. We ended up sitting in right center about 8 rows up. My wife was talking Baez and Contreras to a woman next to her. I was talking with the guys behind me about baseball, who when it was all said and done, had about 9 beers in them each. Ah, the whole beer an inning concept. No, we didn’t go there on this afternoon; we had a couple. Another shirtless guy in our section was at his first baseball game ever; he was absolutely hammered and loving it
As I sat there in the bleachers on this beautiful afternoon, I thought it doesn’t get much better than this. When I see heaven, this has to be part of it. This is my happy place, for those of you who are familiar with Happy Gilmore. All was right in the world for those 3 hours.
As a result, a consumer gets prescription drugs of viagra sans prescription appalachianmagazine.com the retail drug market. In my case, because I saw the family and marriage, strangled his viagra sale death trap. We knew he would suck; he didn’t that bad on this day. We weren’t surprised to see the Cubs get guys on, but not in. Down 3-0 in the sixth, this day couldn’t end like this. There was no way.
Then Jon Jay hit a pinch hit 3 run bomb. I didn’t think it would get out, but it just kept going and going and then, pandemonium. We were going crazy. One swing of the bat and we were back. The defending champs. There was more crap talked to the center fielder. Our chests stuck out. The mojo had officially swung, at least for this one game.
2 more in the 7th, a big Koji K, and 2 more in the 8th, gave us that W we were entitled to on this perfect afternoon. And we sang… Chicago Cubs have the greatest fans.
There was no shortage of high fives in the bleachers full of Cubs gear on this afternoon. There was no whining about the Cubs being 500. There was constant cheering..trying to get our Cubbies going…and they did. And I looked up at the flags right behind me, and smiled. 2016 World Series Champions…you’re damn right.
Yes, on this day, for these 3 hours, in the bleachers at Wrigley, all was well. We had a good time, the Cubs won, and we were stopping at D’agostino’s for some slices. One day, I will sit in the bleachers for every Cubs home game… Go Cubs!!!

Bleacher seats are the best for a good time and win or lose, you always have a good time with good people. Speaking for myself, as I get older and want to see more of the game, with less “noise” I would prefer something around the infield. They are all good seats but I can’t see for s**t anymore, b/c of this dam computer! I need to watch each inning as it unfolds and whether its at the game or on TV (thank you for the real time pause feature) I need to immerse myself into the game by watching each pitch.
Go CUBS!

Bleacher seats at Wrigely cant be beat. Having a beer an inning like back in the day was aWesome, too…and expensive…hahaha. Just being at Wrigley is amazing. The cathedral of baseball. The ivy. And now all of the new stuff…the Park with the grass and Cubs store. The World Series trophy and rings. Just so damn cool. Going to Wrigley is the ultimate event now. The Cubs are the defending champs and times are good. .500 ball has to get turned around right? You bet your ass it will. Talent rules and the Cubs have tons of it. 40,000+ daily at Wrigley is so much fun, but being a bleacher bum takes the cake. GO CUBS GO!!!
