It’s early right? Yes, we are only 5 games into the season, but in 2020, that means we’re almost 10% done with the season; crazy right? Yeah, and with that in mind, and how every loss gets magnified, what about those wins? Well, after Tuesday night in Cincy, the Cubs have 4 of them, starting off the season with a 4-1 record for the first time since 2016… I like the sound of that.

Yes, the Cubs are rolling… yeah, I know… I did it now. It’s like jinxing a no hitter, if you believe in that kind of stuff. I do but I don’t, if that makes any sense. As I’ve said many times, I’m just happy to be watching the Cubs play, yet I’d be lying if I said the results didn’t matter; they do, they always do.

What about those Reds? Yeah, we heard about the improved roster, the team in the NL Central ready to take the next step, favorites to win the division? Yeah, well, so much for that… for now. Of course plenty of time to turn it around; that’s what teams have to say when they start off playing like crap, especially those with all those expectations, all that preseason hype… we may know another team like that. Believe it or not, all the preseason hype about these other teams, the heavy favorite Yankees, Dodgers, Astros, just means that the Cubs are flying under the radar, if you believe that.
