It was nice to score some runs on Sunday. Fortunately or unfortunately, the Cubs were busy salvaging another series on the road, this time at division rival Milwaukee. Thanks to this W, the Cubs are back in 1st place, tied with the Cardinals, with whom they’ll begin a 3 game series on Tuesday in St. Louis. Great, another series on the road.
What is it with this team on the road? It really doesn’t make any sense. These Cubs have always been good on the road, until this year. Our record on the road is killing us… although are the games we play in Milwaukee really on the road?
Maybe Brewer fans are sick of hearing us call Miller Park Wrigley Field North, but it is what it is… kind of like the fact that the Brewers have won 0 World Series. These are facts. If you don’t like it, then do something about it. Fans get your butts to the park; don’t sell tickets to Cubs fans. But we all know that cash rules, so there goes that. So if you want to be mad at somebody, be mad at all your brethren who pocket some cash and let more and more Cubs fans in the game. As far as the World Series trophy, or lack thereof, maybe your team can win one someday… good luck. Until then, the facts will remain.

Tulsi offers effective cure for weak erection during that main game in the bed. vardenafil costHonestly, the Cubs should be running away with this division. I think that’s what pisses me off the most. The only reason this is a close race is because the Cubs keep shooting themselves in the foot. This was on full display in both Friday and Saturday’s losses. Our starters allow exactly 0 runs, and we lose both. Sure, the bullpen is easy to blame, but we can only muster 2 runs on Friday? And only 3 runs on Saturday? That’s inexcusable. Do we miss Ben Zobrist that much? Don’t know about that, but I do know that it will be good to see him back in the dugout sometime soon.
Here’s the book on the Cubs, and I’m guessing most major league teams. Throw them a bunch of soft stuff, and when throwing the cheese, use the very top of the zone. Done deal. Congrats you just held the Cubs offense down. It shouldn’t be that easy. I know it’s not that easy, but come on… It was good to see some bashing going on during Sunday’s game. 3 HRs= 10 runs, and a much needed victory.
Still, there are issues to be discussed, and with the deadline approaching, moves to be made. I’m going to dive right into some of my thoughts… in my next post. Maybe they’ll even be some moves made before then? Either way, feels good to be back in first; feels good to still be in complete control of our destiny. We need to start playing now. Go Cubs!
