July 16, 2016: Summer of Hate

posted in: Cubs | 2

Man has there been some messed up things going on in our world.  The killing of innocent people is horrible.  The attacks on the police are scary.  It’s feeling like the summer of hate.

I’m not going to dedicate a blog to this.  I could, but I won’t.  I will continue to focus on the subject of this website.  And for this summer of 2016, it’s pretty much all about the Cubs right now.

It’s funny when it comes to my teams.  In “real life”, I don’t hate anybody.  It doesn’t matter your color, race, or religion, I’m not hating you for the simple fact of hating you.  There are assholes of every flavors, and of course, you hate the assholes.  I consider myself a pretty peaceful dude.  Yet, when it comes to my sports teams, I’m quick to hate.

I mean, I have a whole section dedicated to that subject:  the Hate Files.  I hate teams that beat my teams.  I hate teams who win too much.  I hate teams that are doing better than my teams.  I get pretty crazy with my teams… I’m starting to feel this way more and more…. especially when it comes to the Cubs.

I’m starting to feel “all in” again… as if I ever wasn’t.  Starting the second half of this potential magical season, I feel more and more passion for my Cubs… and more and more hate for anybody else.  There are some teams that I was already there with.

The Cardinals, duh, are the most hated.  The Marlins and the Dodgers for obvious reasons:  playoff losses.  I don’t hate the Padres, but I hate Steve Garvey.  I don’t hate the Giants or the Diamondbacks.  I don’t hate the Mets, but I hate Daniel Murphy.  All of that feels like it’s going to change.
Sex online pharmacy levitra deeprootsmag.org therapy also assists in settling the things by removing anxieties, changing attitudes towards each other, behaviour etc. There is, as of 2010, no proven medical technology that allows this goal to be accomplished in humans – although the jury is still out on how the composition of whey protein, and this whey protein extract, enables arterial release. viagra in großbritannien If your erectile is not good then you will not able to enjoy the cialis for order sexual intercourse with the partner and can satisfy her absolutely. There is no cialis uk other way to compensate for the loss in contractile cells.
It starts with the other good teams in the National League.  The Giants and the Nationals are the other 2 division leaders; I’m starting to get those feelings.  The Mets… I think I’m already there.  The Marlins and Dodgers, like I said, it’s documented… and being sparked back up this year.  The Pirates…  they haven’t really beat us, except for the last series of the first half, so I really don’t hate them… although if they creep any closer in the standings, I can predict those feelings will come.  I could make a case to hate every team in the National League pretty much.

And how about the American League?  Well, since we’ve never met an AL team when it counts in my lifetime, I really don’t hate any of them.  The closest thing to that is the cross-town series; so yes, I do have feelings of hate towards the Sox at that time of year.  It stems from my love for the Cubs.

It stems from not ever seeing a World Series championship.  It’s the perfect combination that fuels me to hate.  What would happen if they ever did win it all?  I wonder if it would be different.

I don’t feel bad about hating other teams… it’s my outlet.  Since I don’t hate in the “real” world, I can focus it all around my sports teams.  I can focus it all on those teams and individuals that have made me miserable, or make me sick.

It’s starting to overflow.  I want the Cubs to win so badly, that anybody that we play from here on out, I feel like I will hate.  Welcome to Wrigley Texas Rangers…

The Cubs better start trading those extra bats for some extra arms because the pitchers are starting to look drained. It would be a shame if they ran out of gas right before the finish line.

Messed up world with messed up people.

The 2nd half begins. Cubs will look to stay atop the nl central and regain the best team in the nl title. The sox hope to stay in the al central race or trade some pieces to rebuild for the future. In both cases, this summer should hold some exciting baseball for both sides of town, especially with the crosstown classic right around the corner! GO CUBS GO!!!
