So I guess there was a little MVP drama in the NFL these past couple days… good gracious. Yes, Hub Arkush, guy who has been around football forever, said some stuff about Aaron Rodgers being the biggest jerk in football and that’s why he wouldn’t get his MVP vote. Rodgers responded that he’s an absolute bum that nobody ever heard of before this. Well, well, well… that escalated quickly.
First off, Rodgers is so soft… like tissue paper. So somebody said you were a jerk and they won’t vote for you for MVP… wah, wah, wah. You are a jerk, no? I don’t know you either, but from what I could gather regarding not talking to your family, playing your team like a yo-yo in the offseason, throwing your coaches under the bus, lying to everybody, whining to the officials constantly… well, if the shoe fits bro. I’m sure you have an excuse, I mean, legitimate reason for all of that, and that you’re really a great guy… OK. But what does all that have to do with being the MVP or not? Not a whole hell of a lot.
Hub knows this too, but Hub also knows that when there are multiple MVP candidates, like there are in the NFL today, you have to differentiate between them somehow. You can look at all the stats, and believe me, you can cut them and display them hundreds of different ways. You can look at your team’s performance. Although the MVP is an individual award, typically the guy who gets it is on a winning team, especially if that guy is a QB. Certainly Rodgers has backing in both of those categories, as do others. Now when all the “black and white” stats have been compared, you need to go to the “eye test”. I’m sure most of the voters watch plenty of football; there is more to being great than just the stats. Surely, Rodgers passes there too, like others. Next up is the intangibles? Not sure the thought process all the voters go through, but in the intangibles category, this is where Rodgers fails miserably… right or wrong… as they say, it’s a matter of opinion; some folks, like Hub, get paid for those opinions. The only opinions that matter here are those of the voters, which Hub is one of them; rightfully so I may add. So should he have said what he was thinking out loud? Well, that’s a dangerous proposition nowadays… but he was telling the truth… his truth, his opinion. Fair enough.

Funny… I love those people who can dish it, but can’t take it… classic. Poor Hub went and apologized for it; whatever. Again, that’s on him. I like Hub. Sure, I don’t agree with some of his opinions, one of which lately is the whole handling of Justin Fields. I couldn’t disagree more with him on that, but you know what… that’s OK. You don’t have to agree with everyone all the time. I think people don’t get that. It’s OK to disagree; agree to disagree and keep it moving. But noooo… you disagree with somebody, now attack them. I wonder how many of these folks are married…
Anyways, why don’t you grow a pair Aaron? You lie, you cry about being attacked. Somebody calls you a jerk, you whine about it. My God bro… How weak are you? I guess we’ll see come the NFC Championship game… I wonder if your record in those games has anything to do with it… yawn.
