January 5, 2017: Empty Win

posted in: Bulls | 1

Is there any win that we could call an “empty win”?  A win that doesn’t bring you a good feeling.  One that is seemingly meaningless…  Well, I know we beat the Cavs on Wednesday, but that sure felt like one of these.

But a win is a win, right?  They all count; I’m pretty sure of that.  And with the Bulls, now back to 500 thanks to this empty win, every single one counts.  In a season where we’ll be fighting for the playoffs and potentially seeding within the East, each of those W’s is important.  So regardless if the Cavs were short handed, we have to try to win.  We have to try to beat whoever is on the schedule, and whoever is playing for that team when we do meet them.  At least LeBron was still playing…

But even then… we’ve done pretty well against Lebron… in the regular season.  If pretty well against LBJ means 500, then we’ve done good.  25-25 lifetime against James.  In the playoffs, not so much.  5-16 come postseason time.  Although it feels good to beat him whenever, this is just another example of why this win feels empty.  The fact that Kyrie and Love were both out, just means that if and when we meet the Cavs in the playoffs, it will be a totally different game.

They will have some different players next time around too.  They just traded for Kyle Korver.  Who did Atlanta get back for him?  This is flat out ridiculous.  It’s like they’re just trying to help them out for when they face Golden State in the Finals for a 3rd straight year.  That’s pretty inevitable, isn’t it?  Now I have to see another player I liked play with a team that I hate.  Who else will the Cavs acquire?

Hawthorn Berry is known to increase blood flow to his penis. levitra fast delivery Don’t be surprised if Rondo ends up there.  I’m calling it now.  Cleveland could use a backup point guard.  And regardless of how Rondo has looked with the Bulls, how he doesn’t seem to fit into the Fredberg offense, regardless of the fact that he can’t shoot, he’ll still have a good game every blue moon.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Cavs take a shot at him.  Hope we just don’t give him away.

Kind of like we gave Rose away… I’m still OK with the fact we moved him, but we probably could have got more… or maybe we couldn’t have.  It’s funny to see Rose dunking in New York now, when he couldn’t seem to do it here.  Regardless of the Bulls struggles, I’m glad he’s gone.  The whole will he or won’t he play every single game… the Butler vs Rose deal… the no heart attitude… yeah, it was time to move on.  It’s Butler’s team now, or is it?

I saw a rumor that he could be moved.  I’m not sure what team whoever said that is watching.  If that’s GarPax again, that would just top it off.  Obviously, Jimmy is our best player.  We should be building around him, not moving him.  That report was hard for me to believe.  If there is one guy that we shouldn’t move, it’s him.  Unless, I guess, we get back a king’s ransom… like a Herschel Walker type deal.

Still, Buckets is our guy.  He didn’t have his best game against Cleveland, but poured in 14 points in the 4th, as the Bulls got the win.  Yes, I’m not rejoicing like I typically would when we beat Lebron and the Cavs, but I guess I’ll take the win.  Even if it feels empty, it is still better than losing.  Let’s get some more… empty or not.  Go Bulls!

A win vs cleveland and lequeen is always a good thing. The Bulls cant control who plays against them and who takes rest. So love and kyrie needed a break and got one while lebum couldnt get the job done himself, just like always. He needs kyrie or someone else to bail him out and make big shots when it matters. Will hate seeing korver with cleveland. That is a definite boost for them as they try to set up a gsw vs cle finals rematch for the 3rd year in a row…disgusting. Sucks that we know the Bulls really have no chance of going all the way. Buckets didnt have a great game but came through when it mattered, in the 4th. He seems to be becoming more and more clutch, a gene that lechoke does not and will never have. Way to get back to .500 Bulls…now get and stay above it!
