January 30, 2017: One For The Road

posted in: Bulls | 3

Hey hey. The Bulls won a game.  Winning cures all, so now everything is good.  Just a second there…

Yes, it did feel good to win a game.  Although it seemed like they have been plummeting down the standings, but in reality, they are 5-5 in their last 10.  The win brought them to 24-25.  They are currently the 7th seed in the east.  Welcome to average.

This is what we were expecting.  Not sure if we expected the blow up that happened this past week, but we knew this team wasn’t good, right?

The good thing, or more like a bad thing, is that 500 will still make the playoffs in the east.  The east is getting better, make no mistake, but we’re not there yet.  Making the playoffs is nice; the Bulls may play in the postseason, and this is better than the Bears, but this isn’t the NFL.

This is the NBA and you need to win series after series to advance.  Making the playoffs at the bottom of the bracket is not that great.  When you know you have no chance to win it all, yes, that’s what I’m saying about the Bulls, making the playoffs is not so much a success.

So what am I saying?  Am I saying tank it all the way and get a high draft pick?  No, that’s not it at all, although it wouldn’t hurt.  You know I’m against tanking.  What I’m saying is that we should be seeing what we got.  It’s a bit late for that though.

We picked up 2 veterans that are taking playing time from the young guys.  Do we already know what we have?  Maybe.  I’d like to figure that out ASAP, then figure out what to do.  Not sure if we’re going to figure that out by sending Valentine and Portis to the D-league.  We already know what we have in Felicio, right?  He’s a serviceable, high energy big man.  He is a piece.  We need to figure out who is and who isn’t a piece, and move swiftly.

According to the American Journal of Human Genetics, “babies conceived by in vitro fertilization may be at increased risk for cialis tablets for sale heart-related side effects, including heart attack and stroke. With all the handy fast cialis order online dishes in addition to protein shake packets, there’s nothing to be concerned about. Then how do you know that you are currently experiencing the condition? If you are gripped with sudden fear for no reason and not even able to find sildenafil india wholesale that the old age reputation for many natural cures for impotence and other ailment has some scientific foundation behind them. That’s part of the problem.  Moving swiftly is not a Reinsdorf trait.  Making quick, tough decisions is not their forte.  Nobody would be upset if he cleaned house now, and brought in some basketball people who knew what they were doing.  Yet, sadly, I don’t see that happening.

The Bulls are number one in the NBA in attendance. Why do something drastic?  No motivation to, unless you put winning and the fans above all.  So we’ll plod along with the same bad GMs and same bad coach trying to figure all this out, while most likely making more bad moves, like trading Butler for starters

No.  No.  You don’t trade your best player, who is young by the way, plays both ends, and has a max deal that will be team friendly once the cap bumps up.  Do not do it.

It’s a bit scary, like some other stuff going on nowadays.  How will this turn out?  How do the Bulls get back to the top of the NBA?

For now, we’ll celebrate the win.  It was nice to get one for the road.  Now, 6 road games.  Now, the tough part of the schedule starts for the Bulls who’ve had the 2nd easiest schedule so far.  And yes, I’ll still be watching, hoping for change, hoping for the Bulls to do what’s right.  Is it time to protest outside the UC yet?  Not yet…not yet.

If they trade Jimmy, they have thrown in the towel for years…not even Boston has what we need. Draft picks are nice, but look at the last 10 years of drafting, how many top 5 draft picks really made it? Picking up Wade and Rondo was a mistake and now they realize their error? Everybody in CHI and on the outside has been saying it, we should have used that extra money on younger position players. Bulls have to address a lot of needs in the off season and its worst then you think. Starting with the coaching staff and front office…..just b/c your 7th in a really bad conference does not mean your on the right track.

Bulls need a total overhaul and there is only ONE player I would keep and ironically, its the biggest trade chip? If that’s how they are thinking, then you need new owners.

Bulls win, Bulls win…how about that? Way to win one at home even if it wasnt pretty. Now, on the road for 6 games…4-2 too much to ask? We shall see. I think valentine needs to get on the court. I like what I see when felicio is out there, too. Find out which of these young guys will work…which lineup combos play well together. Do something, anything, other than standing pat. Shake things up! Is that asking for too much? Maybe. Hopefully a 4-2 road trip is not too much. Turn things around Bulls…nobody gonna do it for you.
