Yes, more problems for our mediocre Bulls. First it was Rondo, then it was Carter Williams, and now, it is Jerian Grant. Who is really our point guard?
Well, we had one that we traded. Yes, that guy, Derrick Rose, was our PG. Does this mess at the point make that a bad deal? I say no. I do think we should have got more for him, or even kept one of the guys we did get, who was a true point guard that could actually shoot… remember, Jose Calderon? Yeah, I kind of liked him. He never got a chance to put on the Bulls uni because we went out and got Rondo instead. We’ve been over that mistake.
Next up was Michael Carter Williams. I actually like him. He’s not that great of a shooter, but he’s not too bad overall. He was told yesterday that he would not be starting, and was actually the third point guard. And in stepped Jerian Grant. He had a good game or two earlier in the year, and he is related to one of the Bulls champions, but really? He didn’t even play a couple of the previous games, and now he’s starting? What is really going on?
Does Fredberg know? When asked about these decisions, he says that the players have been communicated to, aren’t happy because they want to play, etc. When the players are asked, they seem kind of clueless. We’ve already heard that from Rondo, and now from MCW. So this great communicator that Gar pulled out of Ames has players he’s coaching not really know what’s going on? I guess they can join us fans.

It’s funny though… you know, the problems at this specific position. Yes, I hate to keep doing this, but remember the PG position under Thibs? Yeah, every guy that we rolled off the street turned into an awesome player while playing point for the Thibs Bulls. Yes, Rose was MVP under Thibs for starters. But what about DJ Augustin, Nate Robinson, John Lucas III, CJ Watson, I feel like I’m missing somebody. Who was that guy that they literally pulled off the street? Mike Jones maybe? I’m in a hurry, so I’m not looking it up. But you get the point…
Yes, back to that whole thing of Thibs getting the best out of his players. Fredberg? Not so much. Besides complaining about practice and minutes played, there didn’t seem to be miscommunication coming from Thibs when he was coach. Any complaints were just players being babies and whining because Thibs was working their asses out.
I really do hate to go back to Thibs, but it really does bother me that much that he is not coaching this team. Although the Wolves aren’t doing that great, they will be… it’s only a matter of time with Thibs at the helm. How long will it take the Bulls to do something with Fredberg at the helm?
My guess is never. My guess is he’s gone sooner than later. Not getting the point guard position right after trading Rose is just more egg on the face of Hoiberg and GarPax. They really are meant for each other, and they are definitely NOT meant for us Bulls fans. The point here is, they should all be gone; until then, I’m not too sure what the point is. But you know us die hards will be watching and cheering… we deserve better. That’s a good point.

Point guard problems is just the tip of this Bulls iceberg that is beginning to sink. Maybe wade and butler should cry in the media about it, ala laqueen…hahaha. Fredberg has no idea what is going on. He is in way over his head. Garpax royally screwed the Bulls with that signing. He has no control of this team, no respect from the players, and has lost these guys just like trestman did with the Bears a few years ago. If rondo was signed, he should be playing…bottom line. Mcw was brought in to be the backup. What has changed? Their talent level hasnt diminished since they were signed, so what is the issue? The issue is garpax and fredberg have no idea what they got themselves into. They have no idea how to get the Bulls out of it. The 3 stooges should be gone…asap!
