January 23, 2016: A Shot in the Arm

If anybody needed one, it was the Bulls. They got one with a win over the Cavs…that’s short for Cavaliers, not baby cows. I had to clarify that for my son.

Speaking of those Cavaliers, how about them firing their coach?  I’ll admit he was just a figurehead like Spolestra in Miami, but the Cavs did make the NBA finals last year and were leading the East this year. He had the highest winning percentage of any fired coach. Don’t tell me Lebron had nothing to do with it.

He had everything to do with it. HE was the one who fired Blatt; everyone knows this right?  Nobody respected Blatt?  Whose lead do they follow? LeBum’s lack of respect for his coach led to this. He never respected his first coach, and would have never respected Spolestra had it not been for Riley.  The guy is uncoachable in his own mind.  Everybody is below him; Lue will find that out soon enough. Or maybe, if he just nods his head to everything Lebron says, he’ll be fine. Let LBJ make the substitutions and the last minute play call. Might as well just be player-coach. What a joke. I hope Cleveland doesn’t win anything…ever.

At least they weren’t smart and hire Thibs. Whenever he resurfaces, he will be successful. That would have hurt had he went to Cleveland. I’d like to think he wouldn’t do that.  But I’m not surprised that Lebron didn’t hire him. Working hard in practice, not taking games off, actually having someone who DEMANDS respect…yeah, it’s easy to see why they didn’t grab Thibs, and for that I’m happy.

I’m happy the Bulls beat them too. It boggles my mind why they couldn’t do that last year in the playoffs.  Although maybe it shouldn’t. We’ve always owned Lebron in the regular season, while he owns us when it counts. At the end of the day, it’s like Michael Wilbon said in a tweet last night. It went something like this…while the Bulls and Cavs struggle to play above average basketball, the Warriors and Spurs continue to show how much better they are than everybody else. Like I said, Spurs to win it all.

Still, a win over Lebron is to be savored, even when it is just the regular season.  Now if the Bulls could build some momentum off this, and they’ll need to with the upcoming road trip, then it would be much more than a shot in the arm..it could be a season turner. Go Bulls!

Cavs fire their coach and queen dont know…yeah ok! He found out like everyone else…yeah right! Give me a break. Queen hasnt liked blatt since he was hired before he came back. He wants a former player to “coach” him so insert ty lue who is 38 and can be a better coach? Please. We all know cleveland is bending over backward for queen to never win them anything…cleveland sucks! Goodluck ty…nice start yesterday and now saying the team is out of shape and queen echoing that sentiment…hahaha…fat and sloppy team!
Bulls played a great game yesterday, and how? By playing great defense…go figure. Stop trying to run and gun all the time…mix it up but fall back on the makeup of this team…defense! Get on a run and take this winnable east!
