Oh move over rover, and let Jimmy take over! OK, so it was actually the other Jimmy, Jimi Hendrix, that was being referred to in his song “Fire”, but the UC now plays and flashes that on the jumbotron when Buckets is doing his thing. I heard that a lot last night at the UC.
It seems that we’re always talking about Jimmy Butler; rightfully so. He IS the Bulls right now. Last night, he put on a show, scoring the 4th most points in United Center history. Obviously Michael Jordan is on that list; he sits at #2 and #3 with 55 & 53 points respectively. But it is a Bulls opponent who owns the record with 57 points. Any guesses? It was in 2001. He played with the Sixers. He went to the same college as MJ. OK, it was Jerry Stackhouse. Some other quick cool stats; I get a lot of those from @ckamka on Twitter.
Most 40 point games in Bulls history: Butler is now in 3rd place there with 6 games. Butterbean Bob Love comes in 2nd place with 13. And then there’s MJ. Any guesses on total games over 40 points? It’s an area code in Connecticut. You’ll never get it: 203 is the answer we were looking for. The next closest in franchise history is 13 games. Yeah, he was pretty good. Taking ALL 40 point games in Bulls history into consideration, he has 78.1% of them. I’m thinking Jimmy will be cutting into that number. I’m thinking Jimmy will end up 2nd all time eventually; maybe sooner than later.

Complications from pregnancies- spotting can levitra viagra result from certain complications during pregnancy. This is what the Bulls need to win. Herculian efforts by JB will be needed on most nights to win. Down the stretch yesterday, I was yelling to him “just take it yourself”. And he did. And we won. The one time he passed it late in the game, we turned it over. If you didn’t already know Jimmy, you are the man. Down the stretch, in a close game, YOU will have to make the shots; nobody else. Maybe Wade on a particular night can hit a shot; he used to make a living doing that. Maybe Miro or McD can hit a trey? I wouldn’t bank on that too often. How about MCW or Grant or Rondo (if he ever plays again in a Bulls uniform)? Not likely. And no disrespect to Taj or Lopez, but it’s all about Jimmy.
So that song verse is pretty appropriate. I like when Doug McDermott makes a hoop…. Teach me how to Dougie. That was pretty fun. It was also fun to get on the jumbotron ourselves yesterday. My son and I were shown on the big screen giving a thumbs up. Appropriately he had his Jimmy Butler jersey on, and I had my Michael Jordan jersey on. If Butler stays with the Bulls, and if he stays healthy, he could rank behind MJ as the 2nd best shooting guard in franchise history. A little ways to go for that, but since MJ and the dynasty Bulls, Butler may be the best player already.
It made for a very fun night at the UC, which was surprisingly packed for a Monday night affair. I’m sure it helped with all the folks off of work due to the holiday. That whole plan of putting people in the seats by signing Wade and Rondo hasn’t quite been working out the way GarPax have hoped. Maybe they should have reconsidered that plan, and instead of dumping money into 2 over the hill “big name” guys, invested in some young talent to put around Jimmy. Maybe then he wouldn’t have to score 40 plus a night to get us victories. Maybe then we’d be building towards something, instead of just surviving. This next stretch of games against Cleveland, Toronto, OKC, and Washington will be interesting. The schedule will get a lot tougher; will Jimmy still be able to do it all and lead us to victory? Stay tuned. Go Bulls!

Buckets was on fire, and the Bulls needed it to get the W. wade taking another game off, rondo still wondering where his game went, and everyone else jumping on Butler’s back watching the show. Thanks Buckets, you carried the Bulls to victory and put on an aWesome performance. We may need many more of these games considering the 2 names that were signed to help have not been carrying their weight, and everyone else on the team is inconsistent night in and out. Buckets doing everything may wear him down, not only this year, but years ahead. Hopefully, garpax and fredberg figure out a game plan to get him some real help before he burns out. Go Buckets!
