January 19, 2016: The Dozen

Another game and another win. That’s 12 in a row for those counting. And yes, a lot of people are counting.  Because this latest winning streak for our Hawks of many winning streaks was a franchise best. 12 wins in a row has been etched into the history books on this Tuesday night in January.

What’s next is a good question?  How about breaking the NHL record set by the Penguins in 1992-1993?  Yes, that Pittsburgh team that was very similar to the one that crushed the Hawks in the Stanley Cup Final the year before. 17 is that record.  I’m feeling it.

That feeling is back. A little early, but it’s back. That feeling that we cannot be beat. It’s time to put the exclamation point on our dynasty. A repeat would give any haters no way out. There would be no possible way that 4 in 7 years with a repeat could not be considered a dynasty.

Winning championships is all it’s about for this Hawks team. It’s not like the Cubs, who whisper and hope about it. Or the Sox, who made it to the top for one year and dropped back down to oblivion.  Or the Bears, who can’t even make the playoffs. Or the Bulls, whose window is closing. It’s kind of like the 90s Bulls. And that’s why it’s never too early to start talking about winning it all…to start talking about being the best…to start talking big things. That’s what it’s all about, and this year may be bigger than any other.

The word ‘sexual pleasure’ does not exist after eliminating the role soft generic viagra of erection. I guess the apple does not fall too far from purchase generic cialis Dosage and Prices the actuality reality. It is not robertrobb.com generic cialis online recommended to take them this preparation. We got the franchise winning streak. We have the MVP.  We have the best goalie in the league. We have the best defenseman (arguably) in the league. We have the rookie of the year.  We have the best coach in the league. Not only is this Hawks team about winning championships, it’s about record breaking…they’re about doing this in historic fashion.

So if the shoe fits, wear it.  A repeat is just what this Hawks team needs. And if you weren’t pumped up about it yet, it’s hard not to be now. They’re playing awesome hockey. Scoring first in 11 of the 12 wins in this latest streak. Crawford putting up ridiculous save numbers. Kane hat trick.  All this and not one mention of our Captain who may be the best clutch player of all, just sitting back waiting to strike come June.  We have the talent. We have the depth.  We have the experience.  These are the golden years. I hope you’re enjoying them.

This latest dozen is just another example. This is the best hockey team that has ever taken the ice in Chicago. If they can complete their annual Cup run, this team may climb the ranks of all time. They’re that good. And to think we got rid of Sharp, Saad, Oduya…  That makes this even that much more impressive.

I haven’t been to a game since 2014.  I think it’s time to start looking. It’s time to get back and see this historically great team in person again.  We are witnessIng greatness people. Let’s be thankful. Let’s enjoy every minute. Let’s not be afraid to talk about it. This team is the best in the NHL, and in a few months, they will prove it to the rest of the hockey world again. Let’s go Hawks!

Seems like all the offseason moves make more sense now…Hawks just keep winning no matter who the role players are surrounding this core. 12 wins in a row is very impressive. A repeat and 4 Cups in 7 years would definitely be a dynasty!
