It was definitely a strange sight. It was great, but strange. The Cubs in the White House? If you have seen any Cubs in the White House in the past century, they were on vacation. This time, it was official. Yes, they finally made it.
Pardon me if you have heard this before, but talking about this subject will NEVER get old. Seeing the gang back together for the first time since the parade, and this past weekend at the Cubs convention, brought back all those great memories. Winning a championship together creates a life long bond. Winning in Chicago makes you legendary. Breaking the longest drought in American sports, amplifies it all 100 times.
I was glad they got in before Obama left office. Say what you will about the man, but there are a couple things that are not debatable. He is a big sports fan, and he is a big Chicago fan. Forget all the politics, those 2 facts alone make him OK in my book. I always like listening to his speech about the team; this was no different. He is a known White Sox fan, yet, he still paid the proper respect to the World Champs. I’m sure people write his speeches, but I’d like to think he throws in his personal zingers. It’s believable that he would be like that. The fact that Theo talked after him, and threw in some zingers of his own, made it great. It was all in good fun.
It helps that Obama is a great public speaker. Theo is no slouch himself. It was an overall enjoyable watch. I’m glad that my wife recorded it, so that I could view it from front to end. I got the cliff notes on Twitter in LAX, but to watch the CSN coverage of the entire event, was sweet.
How to Buy? The best way is to purchase levitra 40 mg . He needs emotional support and might need you to ask your doctor online cialis no prescription if you should be taking this preparation. The significant zinc depletion from the body sildenafil buy causes relaxation of the muscles as the person is internally allowed by the medicine such as Sidenafil Citrate to cause and commit to hard penile erection. The most common drugs used to treat these diseases by zithromax which is a subclass of relationship therapy, where partners in levitra canada price a romantic relationship seek effective therapy. I’m sure people were talking trash about Obama making this his last official event in the White House, on MLK day too. To those people, I have to go back to something else Obama said. Sports bring people together. I have seen this first hand. When there is a winning team in Chicago, you can throw all the world’s, country’s, and city’s problems out the window for that short period of time. Forget about all the stuff going on, and join together in the fun. Regardless of age, race, religion, whatever… if you are a Cubs fan, that is the bond. We were ALL happy to see it happen. We ALL celebrated together. That’s how we should be more often.
It shouldn’t take something like this to come together, but it’s definitely nice to see it. How do we capture that in a bottle and spread it to the other 300+ days in the year? That sounds like another blog… All I do know, is that sports shows us life lessons from time to time. Coming together as one, regardless of our differences, is one of them. Learn, learn, learn!
Obama held his ground though; he wouldn’t put on that Cubs jersey. That’s cool. To hear him say that this White Sox fan is the number one Cubs fan was plenty; I know it’s not easy for certain White Sox fans to give credit where credit is due. I’m glad he’s one of the good ones there.
To the 2016 Cubs: thank you again. Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is one ride that will never end!

Cubs at the White House? WOW! Pretty damn cool. Not sure I ever thought I would see that, but the 2016 Cubs made it reality. Thank you Cubbies! Sports definitely have a way of bringing people together with a common goal…winning and winning it all. When that happens, nothing else matters. The Cubs winning it all did that and will continue to do so. Just reflecting on their journey and reliving those moments will always bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye…aWesome!
