What a wild start to the NFL postseason this weekend. I took an absolute bath on Cleveland… so pissed. In a game I went back and forth with 20x, which really should have told me don’t play it, or tread lightly, I put 2x as much as I normally do on Cleveland; bold strategy Cotton. I actually felt good about my Miami pick, but that went south too. Saturday was one of those days where the rollercoaster dipped way down…
When watching the Browns Texans game, I felt good about the Browns early; they couldn’t be stopped on offense. The only problem is they couldn’t stop the Texans on defense either. I knew their defense wasn’t as good on the road, but thought maybe that was a bit misleading, with other numbers saying they’re weren’t as bad as everyone says they were… Well, CJ Stroud had his way with the Browns. Add in 2 pick 6s by Mr. Flacco, and yeah, this one got really ugly; I’m just glad I didn’t chase from halftime on… so guess I saved some money there. See, silver lining! In the night game, I guess all those numbers about Miami and Tua on the road in the cold were right huh? Sometimes we just have to take the numbers for what they say, and not try to go oppo… although going oppo, especially in the playoffs, is a good thing. Then why the heck did I bet Cleveland again? That was my one downside in that game… public was all over the Browns. Oh well… thankfully, I was 3-0 in the NBA which deflected my losses.
Talking about deflecting, let’s talk Packers Cowboys. Normally, I’d go scorched earth on here bashing the Packers left and right, pissed off as hell that they’d moved on; not today my friends, not today. First off, the Cowboys are going home; after the cheese, I hate the Cowboys most. What a fraud they are… regular season team at its finest getting their doors blown off AT HOME in the playoffs. What a joke. Secondly, I bet on Green Bay. Yes, I took the whole strategy if they get blown out, I’ll be happy too, but… they won, and guess what? I’m not giving that money back… haha. For the nightcap, the Lions and Rams game… that was a beautiful game. I took the Lions… on the ML; that was a good decision. My 2nd good decision game at the half, when I hedged my bet and took the Rams +3.5. When the Lions won by 1 point, I hit both of my bets. Boo ya! Here goes the rollercoaster back up the hill…
Yeah, made out this weekend a little bit. Looking forward to more playoff football. My question is of course, will the Packers give the Niners a game? Niners are favored by 10 points… man do I want to bet the hell out of Frisco… hoping for an absolute beatdown. Why do we always have to rely on the Niners to knock the Packers out? Now you know why I don’t mind San Fran winning as much as I do other teams… No Robbie Gould to do the duty this time, but hopefully it won’t come down to a FG. Much more to come on that game, and all the rest… 4 games down, 9 to go…
