Back to our streaking teams… Last we talked, a combined 12 game winning streak was in progress. How was good old number 13?
Not good. The Bulls finally faltered in Atlanta on Saturday night, and then again tonight at the UC vs the Wizards. It was another 13 that made his return to the court on this frigid Monday night. It wasn’t enough to get past the banged up Wizards.
I didn’t see much of either game. On late Saturday afternoon early evening, we were on our way to see The Revenant. Pretty solid flick; some good acting, very good scenery, and some gruesome scenes. Oscar worthy? Well, it was certainly Golden Globe worthy as it swept the director, best actor, and picture. Meanwhile, the Bulls were being manhandled.
From what I did see and hear, a lackluster start couldn’t be overcome, no matter how hard we tried. The defense was pretty offensive, as the Hawks piled up those points in the paint. The Bulls 6 game streak was over, just as the combined 12 game streak. The Hawks had better success…Blackhawks that is.

The Avs were no match as the Hakws extended their streak to seven games. Again, didn’t see much of it…the aforementioned Golden Globes was the show of choice. 2 goals from both Kane and Hossa got it done. This is the Hawks 7th streak of 7 or more wins under Coach Q. Yeah, this team just wins. Creeping closer to the faltering Dallas Stars and that one seed, I’m ready for some more Stanley Cup playoffs. Patience, patience.
So as one streak was maintained, another was started Monday night as the Bulls lost to the Wiz. Bad loss in my opinion. At home, number one, and they were banged up, number two. Two losses in a row now. The sky is falling. One impressive streak was maintained though. 44 games in a row with a steal for Jimmy Buckets. It’s the longest current streak. Only if he can keep this up for another 60 games or so will he break Chris Paul’s record. Still, pretty cool.
Ok, so we’re caught up…I’m caught up. It was stop and go with the Bulls and Hawks streaks, as both teams will be back in action Tuesday. Just settling in for the long winter run. Rock that Madhouse.

Up and down roller coaster continues for the Bulls while the Hawks are still rolling on their current streak. When they score like they did vs the avs, there is no stopping them…too much talent. Both teams in action tonight with the Bulls trying to end their 2 game skid in Chi north while the Bhawks are at home vs the preds, who have to completely hate them for ending their season again and again.
