So Super Bowl L… that stands for 50 in Roman Numerals… you know, the method of showing which number Super Bowl it was for the past 49 years, is in the books. I thought it was a pretty good game… pretty entertaining. The commercials mostly sucked, but overall, I liked the defensive battle that was being waged on the field. I wasn’t necessarily happy with the outcome, although I did win my ATS pick with Denver +6. I did watch most of the game… which has been a rarity lately with Super Bowls. Maybe all this 85 Bears talk has me in a better football frame of mind lately.
I actually went to a Super Bowl party with the family. It was fun… good to spend some time with an old friend. We had some “in-game” entertainment as we played some table hockey… like the US vs Russia game with the glass dome in a lot of arcades back in the day. Yeah, he fixed up this version like the United Center… Blackhawks names and numbers, advertisements on the wall, even fans in the stands… very cool. I kicked his ass, and that was even with my 3 year old son playing goalie for parts of the 2 out of 3 series. So my attention was not 100% on the TV, but I was there.
The Carolina defense was NOT the problem in that game. The Carolina offense and special teams didn’t do them any favors, putting them in bad situations all game. It felt kind of like the 2000’s Bears all those years, with the great D, and horrible offense; we did have the awesome special teams though. It just proves that you need something out of all 3 phases to win the game, especially against a good team on the biggest stage. You also can’t turn the ball over..
And there was plenty of that going on… it would help to try to recover your own fumble too. Let me start by saying I’m not a big Cam Newton fan, but the guy has been awesome this year; he truly deserved the MVP… besides Olsen, did you see who he was working with on that offense? As far as his celebrations, I’m OK with those too; do I think sometimes it’s over the top, sure. Am I horribly offended? No. That stuff helps make the game a little more fun… and when he’s giving those TD footballs to those kids in the stands… that’s priceless. But now I have to rip him…

You can save a buy tadalafil mastercard bundle on sale and other discount offers. Your team still has a chance in the Super Bowl. It’s the 4th quarter. You get hit and lose the ball… um, I’m jumping in there 110% trying to recover it, not doing a half ass effort, or more like an OLE job (bull fighter) with it. That was pretty bad. I didn’t listen to any postgame stuff, so I’m not sure what he said about that, but what can he say? I was told about how he was acting though…
One word answers… walking out of the press conference… being a big baby. You know, you can dish it, but you can’t take it. Everybody loses a big game. Losing on the biggest stage hurts more than anything; most star athletes have lost on the biggest stage…well, except MJ. So first thing’s first… don’t lose. But if you do lose, handle it. You’re the MVP of the league… the face of the franchise… the face of the NFL some say… man up Cam.
OK, that was almost headed down the path of a Hate File, but I don’t hate the guy; I’m just not a fan… I’m also not a fan of Manning, and feel bad that he got Rivera again; once as our DC and now as the Panthers’ head coach. Peyton better retire after this; man was he throwing some ducks out there. Plus, it’s nice to go out on top.
OK, done with football for the year. We’ll be back to talk some draft stuff I’m sure… or a big free agent signing maybe??? But for now, we turn to the UC boys, and another team… OK, teams… that report in 2 weeks to Spring Training. Are you ready for some baseball?

Enjoyed the super bowl for sure. Was also on denver plus the points as well as some money line. That D was just too much for cam and the panthers. Peyton really did nothing. Cam did just as much of nothing, including his own fumble that he did not go after…what was that??? Only down 6 with plenty of time…you have to get on that football and punt it away. As you said, I am also not a cam fan. Was he the mvp this year? Yes. Is he a beast passing and running? Yes. Did he act like either yesterday? No. And how about his postgame press conference? What a joke! I get it, you just lost the sb, you are hurting, pissed, disappointed, fuming, plug in whatever word you want, BUT you are the leader of the panthers and the newly awarded mvp of the entire league. Not to mention how much you celebrate, dab, dance, talk smack, take pics on the sideline before games were over…you know how to have a good time when winning. You talk about having a team stop you from doing all of that. Guess what cam, the denver D just did. And how do you react, like the biggest sore loser bitch ass ever. Forget all the excuses some are giving you: hurting, just lost, young, blah blah blah. You just went down a bunch of notches in my book, and you were already down there. If you can do what you do when winning, man up, face the press, answer questions, give denver credit, and be a respectable loser, not a sore one who I hope never gets back now because you not only lost the sb but my respect, too.
