I had to double check the source.  Hopefully what I just read was BS.  The jobs of GarPax are safe.  Ridiculous.

What thing that they are being evaluated on would bring someone to that conclusion?  I would think win loss record is pretty important. We missed the playoffs last year in a horrible eastern conference. We’re teetering on the playoffs this year in a slightly better, but still pretty bad, eastern conference. The thing that is more upsetting is the direction of the Bulls in comparison to the rest of the East.

The East is getting better. They’re getting younger and more athletic; sound familiar?  The Bulls are standing still. These younger teams will begin to pass them; some already have. The Bulls are no threat to win anything this year or any time in the near future.  But GarPax jobs are safe?

Maybe evaluating talent is the reason they’re safe. They did draft Buckets, and…they did draft Buckets. We traded two number one picks for McDermott.  I don’t want to repeat that. Mirotic continues to regress. Portis can’t make it on the floor for some reason. Valentine is being volleyed between the D league and the NBA.  I’m making myself sick.

Maybe it’s their decisions related to the coaching. Don’t even go there.  I can’t let that one go.  They have the balls to let Thibs go, while they get to stay?  They go sign Fredberg for 5/25 and they get to stay?  They have slowly but surely been making this team worse and worse.

So what is it?  Is it Gar’s glowing personality, his media savvy, and his willingness to answer the tough questions?  And Paxson?  Is that Phoenix shot in 93 still carrying his ass?  No, no, that’s not it.

Since there’s obviously no accountability, I could see them trading Jimmy.  Who cares that the fans won’t like it. What?  Will the attendance drop to fifth?  Will people stop rocking that Bulls gear?  We are die hard fans. We have a proud history. We deserve better.

I remember getting the call. I’m pretty sure it was the summer of 1999.  My number came up on the season ticket waiting list. I remember going to the UC, sitting in my seats in the 300 level, and the stadium being half empty.  I remember going to the UC to watch the Hawks and you could hear the players talking on the ice.  Is that what it’s going to take to force action with the Bulls?

Easier said than done for us fans. I’d personally go to more games because ticket prices will drop down.   I’m not going to stop wearing my Bulls stuff.  That’s the spot we’re in. Maybe the Reinsdorfs are smart enough to realize that?  Maybe that’s why they do nothing.  Maybe they just don’t care.

So go ahead and post fireGarPax or canFredberg… I won’t disagree. They should all go. But maybe just like with the Bears, and Blackhawks for a good part of my youth, you need to go higher. You need to look at the owners and blame them. It’s time to direct some of that frustration towards the Reinsdorfs.  They are the ones being ridiculous.
