The Bulls are on a 4 game winning streak.  They’re making their way up the Eastern Conference standings.  They are now 1 whole game over 500.  We should be super excited, right?

I’m not.  Let’s take a look at that 4 game winning streak.  We beat the top 3 teams in the East during that streak; that’s a good thing, right?  Yes, it is.  It is what it is.  How impressive was it really?  We own the Raptors.  No big surprises there.  I was shocked to beat the Celtics.  We did get a gift call at the end of that game if you recall.  Then the Cavs… without Lebron… not that excited about that one.  And in between there, a close, dog fight of a victory at home over the power house Suns.

Am I just becoming the type of fan that cannot be pleased?  Am I just looking for something negative here?  Maybe.  Or, maybe I know better.  Maybe we should all know better.  This streak isn’t anything more than misleading.

We should be happy for every win; I will say that.  Beyond that though, there is not much beyond that.  The Bulls future still looks as bright as it did before the winning streak, which means we’re not seeing the sun for a while.  We still have the same mish mosh team with no clear path to get better.  The only positive thing the trade did for us was allow other younger guys to play.  It didn’t make us better, although I guess the jury will still be out on that one.

Who knows… Payne could end up being an All Star, and then GarPax will look like geniuses.  I doubt it.  His numbers are horrible. I was watching some “highlights” of his during an earlier Bulls Thunder game.  Neil Funk basically was left wondering why he was even on the court.  He played horrible.  It’s not like some hidden gem behind Westbrook, as GarPax tried to make us believe.  If they liked him since the draft, that’s not a good thing either.  Did they like him the same way they liked McDermott, Mirotic, and Marquis Teague?  Yeah, I went there.

The Bulls have committed to Rondo again… for some strange reason.  If the goal is to get the younger guys to play, then there is no reason Rondo should still be here.  There is no reason Wade should be here either, but we’ve been over this before.  There is no reason FredBerg should be here… same goes for GarPax.

But Jimmy Butler IS here… for how long may be the question.  From the post trade interviews, Pax didn’t really give him a ringing endorsement, which may mean he’ll be gone in the offseason.  The one piece that we could build around…

I don’t know… I’m just in a bad place with the Bulls right now.  I’m just a grumpy old Bulls fan.  I have my reasons though, no?  Does anybody else feel this pain?

Yeah, so kill me for not being excited about this 4 game winning streak.  This is the same team… worse actually.  They can just as easily lose the next 4 games.  We’re still a 500 team with no shot at winning anything this year or the next or the next… yeah, I guess that’s why I’m grumpy.

Still, I will be cheering them on.  Looks like I’ll be in the house on Tuesday vs the Nuggets.  Let me get my FireGarPax shirt ready… Go Bulls!

The Bulls are in a bad place right now. It is called mediocrity with no real direction or light at the end of this tunnel. That is why we as fans feel the way we do. Yes, we still love the Bulls and support them. We care and want them to do well, but we do not see them having a realistic shot at winning another championship anytime soon. That time seems to have come and gone. Our hard working guys are gone. Thibs is gone. Buckets is here but wasting away. Where are the Bulls headed? What is the quickest way to get there? These questions need answers, but I dont think garpaxberg have them. That might be the worst part. The guys in charge and responsible for getting the Bulls on the right track and headed in a winning direction are not working out. Change is needed…clean house…ax the 3 headed monster…fire garpaxberg!
