Back to a fun topic, the Blackhawks were back at the UC Thursday night. If you were wearing a hat, it most likely ended up on the ice. Patrick Kane turned in his 3rd career hat trick as the Blackhawks beat the hapless, but playing good as of late, Coyotes.
Talk about playing good lately. 7 straight on the road for the Hawks before they started a new streak at the UC Thursday. Just the game before, it was Toews with the hat trick. It’s almost like Patrick Kane said, ok, I call, and then went out and did it himself. Back to back hat tricks ain’t too shabby.
There have been 4 hat tricks for the Hawks this year. Panik and Hartman were the other guys who lit the lamp three times in a single game. Speaking about hat tricks, I always wondered… do you HAVE to throw your hat on the ice? Do you get it back? What if you’re way up there and the hat won’t reach the ice? Will people just keep passing it down all the way? What is the hat trick etiquette?
I’ll tell you what. If I just spent $30 on a new hat, not sure I’d be chucking it away. Or what if I was wearing the Stanley Cup hat? Just give that up for the trick? I guess I need to do some reading up about it, unless somebody wants to educate me. Is being in person for a hat trick such an honor that the donation of our hat is the least we can do? What do they do with all of them? An inquiring mind wants to know.

What makes it very potent is its ability to treat erectile dysfunction, even being called the discount levitra purchase . What I do know is that for all the talk about struggles on offense this year with the Hawks, and the fact that the 2nd line carried this team for a while, there are now 7 guys with 15 goals this year. Every one on that 2nd line of Kane, Panarin, and Anisimov. Toews and Panik from the current 1st line. Hossa and Hartman round out the list. That’s pretty good, no?
It shows a little depth if anything. You know players will go through their slumps, especially in the postseason against the best defenses and best goaltenders. It’s nice to be able to have other guys you can count on when 1,2, or 3 players start slumping. Being able to put the puck in the net is necessary to win each and every game. That’s not a bad seven for the Hawks. I wonder how that compares around the NHL?
I’m asking a lot of questions today. What about how many times teammates have gone back to back games with hat tricks? With the Hawks scheduled to play next against the Blues on Sunday, maybe the next question is how many times have teams went back to back to back hat tricks in consecutive games. I’d have to think that’s extremely rare.
As is watching this Hawks team… It’s refreshing. It’s fun. It’s cool to see two back to back tricks. It’s great to have so many guys who can score. It’s all coming together for the boys. Don’t burn out too early.

Captain Toews and now his sidekick Kane…back to back hat tricks, pretty impressive. You can say the same about the Bhawks right now. They are playing very good hockey, and I hope that they are not peaking too soon.
Back to the hat tricks and after a bit of research, it seems that you should always throw your hat onto the ice for a hat trick. If you are up top, throw it as far as you can and hope the lower level fans toss it onto the ice. The only exception is if the hat has sentimental value. As for what they do with the hats, a few different options…give them to the guy who scored the hat trick, donate to charity, or toss as garbage. This is the 2nd time this year that there have been back to back hat tricks on the same team…not sure about back to back to back.
Finally, as for the Bhawks with 7 guys with 15 or more goals, they are the only team to have that many. A few have 6 but only the Bhawks have 7. A few answers to some questions, but there is no question that the Toews, Kane, and the Bhawks are damn good!
