How you like them Bulls? 3 in a row and now we’re back! Haha… it’s funny how we are. It’s funny how these Bulls looked yesterday? Anybody outside of Chicago probably didn’t recognize these new Bulls.
OK, Pau Gasol started, but he looked like death. Kudos to him for sucking it up and getting out there and doing his job. He almost pulled a triple double out. I’ve talked crap about Pau over the years, for his lack of defense, and for taking that game after the 3OT game off, but he gained some points last night. Bravo Pau. I can’t say the same about Derrick Rose.
Here it is, a big game, a home game, against a team that’s trying to catch us in the playoff race… already down Buckets, Niko, and Noah, and Rose sits out. OK, I’ll stop there, and I won’t completely rip him because we actually won the game. His replacement was one of the stars.
E’twaun Moore was money. He hit those big shots down the stretch that helped us hang on. He was our starting point guard yesterday. Our starting shooting guard was Tony Snell, while it was Dunleavy and Gibson at the forwards. Hey, I know these guys… my 3 year old son knows these guys, but if you’re looking at this starting lineup outside of city limits, you have to chuckle.

It was somebody that came off the bench that helped get us there. Doug McDermott… was he actually worth that first round pick? He’s been trying to prove that the past couple weeks. And he’s got hops too… shocking hops, throwing down thunderous dunks, earning Stacey King’s signature poster. All I can say is WOW, and about time. It only took you a year and a half to get it, and I’m still not convinced this will last. I hope it will, but as usual, time will tell.
I’m just happy for a 3 game winning streak. Next up is a visit to Atlanta… another team in the mix for the bottom of the Eastern Conference playoff race. Guessing Derrick will be back, but maybe that’s a bad assumption. Hopefully Pau has shaken off his sickness. When is Buckets coming back?
If this team gets healthy, they could possibly go on a run. I don’t see that run ending with the Bulls raising the O’Brien trophy, but it may be a few rounds. We have some playoff tested guys. Yes, it would be Fred’s first rodeo, but the players know what’s up. We’ve been here done that… that is made the playoffs, won a couple rounds, and lost to Lebum. Will they be able to provide us fans with a different outcome?
Let’s just make the playoffs first, since this is the first year in a while where it’s not a given. I enjoyed yesterday’s victory more than normal, considering the short handed nature of the win. Great job guys, let’s keep it rolling.

Who would have thought, no buckets, noah, drose, and niko, and still beat the wiz??? WOW, that was a shocker! Moore and dougie have been stepping up. Big shots by et and what a dunk by dougie, show them hops white bread! Now if only the Bulls can get healthy and play with the same kind of urgency, maybe they could surprise some people, including us.
