February 2, 2020: Poor Appetizer

Super Bowl Sunday 2020 is here, without the Bears again. Still, I was looking forward to the game. Unfortunately, the Bulls Raptors game was on before the festivities began; what a poor appetizer to the main course.

Who am I kidding? The festivities to THE game started early AM; there’s been stuff on all day. I wasn’t interested in watching any of it. Actually tuned in a bit to the Illinois Iowa game; I should probably write about that game instead of what I’m about to do… again. Illinois is actually in the middle of a good season. Playing on the road at Iowa is not an easy task; they fought tough until the very end before bowing out. They’re still tied atop the Big 10 conference. It’s kind of about the time I’ll start to pay a bit of attention to college basketball, about a month before the madness begins. Speaking of madness, let’s get back to the Bulls.

It’s like I feel obliged to watch them. I am after all, a self-proclaimed die-hard fan. But man… it is tough to watch these guys. I don’t even really want to zone in on the game exclusively, just knowing that I’ll get pissed off; I don’t need to get all worked up… again. In fact, I really don’t want to write about them any more, because it’s the same old shit. Sunday brought yet another Boylen classic, calling a timeout down 20+ points in the final minute of the game. Really Jimbo?

Those incorporate sudden demise, stroke, serious hypotension, myocardial dead tissue; expand in intraocular weight pianism, ventricular arrhythmias cialis mastercard and so on. free viagra samples find out this shop Orthopedic Physical Care Among some of the most important ones among them are: depression, diabetes, heart disease, Azheimer’s, cancer, wrinkles, most illnesses, bacteria, viral infections, and so on. He says he’s teaching, kind of like when he called a late timeout when the Bulls actually had the game in hand against the Timberwolves the other day. If the game is over, one way or another, and the clock is ticking down under a minute, don’t call a timeout; it sounds easy enough. Any “teaching moment” is wasted by doing this because of how stupid it is. The fans have already lost respect for you, but at least you got some of the players, right? Did you see Lavine after Boylen called that timeout? Just like the fans, I’m sure it’s hard for Zach to hide the frustration. Enough is a fricking enough.

Who else does this? In actuality, NOT calling a timeout during key moments of the game is more of a teaching moment than this is. First off, you’re calling a timeout in the least possible key moment of the game, which is idiotic. Secondly, what are you trying to teach at that point that you can’t review in practice the next day? Save the embarrassment for behind closed doors instead of on the TV for all of us to see. On the contrary, back to that Illinois Iowa game for a minute, the Illinois coach resisted calling a timeout during a few Iowa runs; Illinois responded by hanging tough during those stretches. Yes, they lost the game, but they actually did grow from that teaching moment, and a timeout didn’t even have to be used. Am I saying that Underwood would be a better coach than Boylen? I think I’m saying anybody would be better than him.

Like I said, same old crap. Fire Boylen. Fire GarPax. Tank mode 2020. Zach on his own. Yada, yada. It’s bad enough if this was any old year, but to be the year Chicago is hosting the All Star game just makes it even worse. Yet, I’ll still be watching… makes me sick really… all I can say is, Go Bulls, and hope for the best.
