I was actually looking forward to the late night Hawks game in San Jose on Tuesday night, and then, with some early plans on Wednesday night, the start time of the Bulls would work out perfectly. I would zone in to both of these games. Yes! That was the plan. I was sitting in front of the TV, unfortunately, I was sleeping.
I don’t know if it’s just getting old or what. It sucks. I can’t even stay up for the late games any more? Is my sleep that bad? Why the hell am I always so tired? I’m using my FitBit… looks like I need about 6 hours of sleep to function like a normal adult. Monday night I only got half of that, so I guess not making it through the Blackhawks Sharks game on Tuesday is understandable. But I felt good at the start of the Bulls game. I can’t figure this crap out.
It’s kind of like this Bulls team. After one of their worst losses last week at home vs the Heat, they bounced back and beat the Sixers; it was a short handed Sixers team… I wasn’t that impressed. But then last night, in OKC, to go in there and smack them around… I would say that would qualify as a quality win. They’re going to need many more of those as this road trip, heck, even the whole month of February continues.
They shot 61%… that’s pretty good. You’re going to win a lot of games shooting that well. OKC really looks like Russ or bust. He was impressive, but the rest of the team.. not so much. He flew past the Bulls defense like flash at times last night, but he can’t do it all himself. OKC isn’t going anywhere.
The Bulls aren’t either, but like I always say, a win always feels good. It doesn’t erase any of the issues, but it provides us fans with a happy moment. I think we’d all be happier if the rumors of trading Buckets would stop, and some rumors of GarPax getting fired started. Still waiting…
Is it time to start to worry about the Blackhawks? Stan Bowman doesn’t think so, or at least that’s what he said to the media. He’s not thinking of making any big moves; do we need to? Three losses in a row… three horrible third periods in a row… do the Hawks have enough to get the 4th cup this decade?

Crawford hasn’t been as good as he was at the start of the season. Darling has been pretty good. Who will be the horse come postseason time? Do we need another defender, or somebody else for that first line with Toews? Are we willing to give up more draft picks or young players, or are we committed to the younger guys we have today?
With the East finally getting good again, getting through the West, which won’t be easy, may not mean an automatic Cup. There are a number of teams in the East that have a legit shot at getting there. The West will be tough too.
I’m not worried about the Hawks. It’s always nice to get another piece to help, but I like the younger guys that we have. Will they be able to contribute enough this postseason to make it happen? Maybe those guys aren’t ready yet? How far will our goalies carry us?
It seems like the rest of the NHL is finally catching up to the Hawks. But we’re still here. We’re not going anywhere. So basically, bring it on.
Let’s start with a win vs the Coyotes. I’ll try to stay up for that one.

39 point, 75% fg shooting 3rd quarter is damn impressive…gonna beat a lot of teams playing like that. Bulls get much needed b2b wins.
Bhawks losing 3 in a row. Now is the time to…not panic. Dont worry, be happy. The team is not playing well, especially finishing games, but that can change quickly. Do the Bhawks need another piece? Maybe, maybe not. The right pick up could be helpful as in years past, but it is not mandatory for this team. I still think the Bhawks have the talent to get it done. Stop the losing streak and finish this road trip with a winning record.
