Since we’re on the subject, and before we turn our attention away from football for a minute, I wanted to share some more of my thoughts on the Super Bowl.
I saw some crazy shit out there about Stafford being a Hall of Famer now. Wow… just wow. We’re going to just put in all QBs from this point forward in our pass happy league? Give me a break. In no world is Matthew Stafford a Hall of Famer. He hadn’t won shit before this year, after Vegas tossed him a bone on that 3rd and goal play. He played for a horrendous franchise. His record against winning teams was absolutely pathetic. There is absolutely ZERO possibility he gets into the Hall of Fame, unless of course, he rips off a few more Super Bowl wins, which isn’t going to happen. This Rams Super Bowl win was an absolute fluke; it will not happen again. Enjoy it.
Then there’s Aaron Donald; great player by the way. I like him, but… people are making it out that he dominated in the Super Bowl, really? I didn’t see that. He made some nice plays for sure. Like I said, he’s a great player, but man… people always want to crown somebody. Is Aaron Donald the greatest defensive player of all time? Ha! Let’s rank him on the list of Defensive Tackles first, then go from there. Is he a top 5 DL of all time? That is a more reasonable question. I swear…

The Packers lost! I am happy. Sure, I get greedy. I wanted the Bucs to lose, check. I wanted the Chiefs to lose, check. I wanted the Bills to win it all; didn’t happen. I wanted the Bengals to win the Super Bowl; ditto. But back to the main, most important result of the postseason: the Packers lost… again. Seeing them fail on the biggest stage never gets old.
Now about that biggest stage… will the Bears see it again sometime soon? Well, we all got the change we wanted. Sure, maybe it wasn’t the head coach you wanted, or maybe you had another GM in mind, but we can all agree that it WAS change. Time will tell if this change was the right change, but… I think we’ll be able to get some immediate feedback… next year. I don’t know about you, but I’m expecting a jump. Maybe it’s just me dreaming again… The offseason allows this. We are all undefeated again, at least until after Week 1. Bear Down!!!
We’ll be back talking football again soon, but in the meantime, we’ve got some pretty spectacular shit going on with DD and the Bulls. Let’s go there next.
