December 31, 2014: The Hate Files XIII

posted in: Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs, White Sox | 1

It’s been too long since I let a little hate out.  As we approach the end of 2014, it’s time to get one more out of my system.  No need to carry any hate into the new year.

This is a first for a Hate File.  This is a Chicago team.  This is a team that caused much pain and agony over the past season.  This is a team that frustrated me so much, that they truly earned their place in the Files.  Let’s us now open and close the Hate File for the 2014 Chicago Bears.

It takes a lot to “hate”.  Yet, it didn’t even take me the whole 17 week season to reach this conclusion about this team.  Let me start off by saying, I LOVE THE BEARS.  So just because this team is bringing out a strong negative emotion out of me, does not mean that I will stop loving the Bears.  There is nothing, not one team, not one individual, that could cause that.

This Bears team made the cut by being one of the most disappointing teams in Chicago history.  No, not the kind of disappointment that comes with having a great regular season, and failing in the postseason.  The kind of disappointment that results in being a total group of underachievers.  This team had preseason aspirations; ok, I guess all teams do.  But this team was pegged for big things… a darkhorse Super Bowl contender even.  With all the talent in the world on the offensive side of the ball, coming into the 2nd season under the system of the QB whisperer, there would be no defense that could stop us.  As long as our defense was middle of the road, we would win 10 games easy.  Playoffs here we come.  And if we got hot at the right time, there’s no telling… we could win it all!  Well, let me be the first to smack myself in the face.

It was all a fraud.  This entire team is a sham.  The whole season was a failure.  We finished with a 5-11 record, which was good for the basement of the NFC North and the 7th overall pick in next year’s draft.  We got shutout in 11 first quarters.  We failed to score over 28 points all year.  Our defense was the worst in Bears history.  Our special teams may have been the worst too.  WE SHOWED NO HEART!!!  It was disaster after disaster this year, and the worst thing about it… nothing, NOTHING was done about it.  We just let the snowball keep getting bigger, gaining speed, rolling down that mountain.  That is, until Monday morning after the season… when that snowball hit Halas Hall.

Many foreigners were even rushed to the hospital a few hours after taking Sildenafil cheap viagra prices citrate. Reasons for its Popularity: A major reason as to why most women suffer from sexual dysfunction: Hormonal Changes: Women can experience hormonal changes after surgery, medication, pregnancy or even post pregnancy, which could lead to low libido or loss of desire. buying generic cialis Erectile dysfunction is the most common conditions among buy levitra http://www.devensec.com/news/Devens%20Community%20and%20Municipal%20GHG%20Inventory%20Report_FINAL.pdf various sexual problems. Why wait until after the season?  Let Lance Briggs miss practice the first week of the season to open his restaurant.  Fine Martellus Bennett for slamming a teammate (which I was OK with), but do nothing when Aaron Kromer, the offensive coordinator, spews negativity to the national media.  Go ahead and tear an ACL Lamarr Houston while celebrating your first sack of the year 8 games in, and down 30 points in the game… AFTER you told the fans to eat dirt.  Fly back and forth for your TV show, tell one of the best kickers in Bears history to shut up and kick the ball, all while the offense flounders; thanks BMarsh.  Then there’s our franchise QB making approximately 1 million dollars per interception thrown this year, while leading the NFL with the most turnovers.  6 years in a Bears uniform, and 1 playoff win; franchise my ass.  Or Jared “washed up” Allen, or Chris “concussion” Conte, or Tim “I can only play cover 2” Jennings….

There are some players that I DO like on this team, but today is not about them.  Hopefully, they’ll be back and rejuvenated on next year’s Bears squad.  Then there are those like Briggs and Peanut Tillman that most likely have ended great Bears careers on this team; that’s a shame.  What’s not a shame are the people that got canned coming out of this train wreck.

GM Phil Emery has been fired.  Coach Marc Trestman has been fired, along with offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer.  One can only assume that Mel Tucker and Joe DeCamillis will be relieved of their duties as well.  I can only wish that we’ve seen #6 play his last game in a Bears uniform, but we have to patiently wait to see the outcome of that drama.

So, this is IT for the 2014 Bears.  I have opened the Hate File, and now will be closing it.  I will go into 2015 trying to push this season out of my brain.  There has already been positive action taken, now I, as a die hard fan, will try the best to do my part.  I will try to forget this season ever happened.  By releasing this hate, I end my bitching about this team.  I truly do hate this Bears team, and I hate what they made the great tradition of Chicago Bears football look like this year.  I will now start the process of recovery; something that is an all too familiar thing for us Bears fans come playoff time in the NFL.  My resolution is to put this season behind me, and focus on 2015.  No carrying this hate on… it’s not good for anybody to harbor ill will.  It’s time to start fresh, and go into the New Year with positive thoughts.

My last wish for the 2014 Bears is that their QB is sacked, and never plays for us again.  New coach or old, this donkey has been sold.  No more waiting for greatness, we have no more patience.  The 6 year window is up pout face, please go find another place.  Until we find out his fate, I will stop the hate.  RIP 2014 Chicago Bears.

Very hard not to hate this team. Had the look and talent to do something good, but they had no heart or effort to actually get it done! This was a good looking team on paper…too bad the only paper guys are seeing now are pink slips! Adios and good riddance…BEAR DOWN 2015!!!
