The Bulls played back to back games on Friday and Saturday night. It was a win vs the best team in the conference, and a loss vs the worst team in the league. It was the best and worst… an interesting 500 split.
It all started on Friday night; the much anticipated match up vs the Cavs at the UC. Before the game, it was the much anticipated arrival of Lebron James dressed in Cubs gear. He was paying DWade his losing part of the World Series bet. I loved that LBJ lost his bet, but honestly, seeing him in a Cubs uniform, kind of made me sick. That’s kind of like seeing Aaron Rodgers in a Blackhawks uniform, or Adam Wainwright in a Bears jersey. It was not nice to see someone I hate wear the jersey of a team that I love. It’s funny how Lebron is all about Cleveland now… no more Yankees fan? No more Cowboys fan? This guy is the biggest band wagoner of all time, and now, he wants to claim all his home teams. Funny how he came out of the woodworks as an Indians fan when they had a good year. Screw Cleveland and the Indians; the Cubs are the champs. But, please, please, don’t ever wear that jersey again.
He put on his real jersey soon after, as the Cavs and the Bulls did battle. I didn’t get to watch as much of the game as I’d like, but I was very impressed with the end result. I read some stuff after the game, and checked some stats. Taj was in beast mode huh? He has a little history here with the LeBron teams. Lots of regular season success, but none in the postseason. I guess that’s why I can’t get too excited about this win, although… with a win.. the question comes to mind: can the Bulls beat the Cavs in a 7 game series?

The first question that needed to be answered was could the Bulls win the 2nd game in a back to back. Could they stay up for their lesser opponent after getting up for the big one? The answer was no across the board. They got handled in Dallas. I can’t believe Dallas was that bad. They have some decent players… Deron, Wesley, Harrison.. has Dirk been hurt all year? Anyways.. I don’t think Dallas will finish the year at the bottom of the standings. I think they just had a rough start. They gave it to the Bulls. I actually watched more of this game. It was great how Jimmy and the bench never quit. They just could never get over the hump and make it interesting late.
Where was DWade in this one? Resting again? I am not a fan of that at all. Who makes that call? Does Wade just tell Fred I’m not playing today? Worse yet, I don’t think I saw him on the bench. So, I’m not playing tonight, and you know what, I’m not travelling either. So is he the only one that can do that on this team? Does Jimmy have the same rope? Or how about Rajon? Or Taj? I don’t like it. I guess it’s like using your sick days at work… but in this case, work is playing basketball. Too tired to play a game? That’s 2 already.
But, back to the positive, and back to the big win vs Cleveland. We’ve been here before. It’s always nice to beat Lebum and his team of choice, but we’ve never beat him when it counts. We’ll have plenty of time to talk about that from now until then. Until then, let’s savor the win, and bounce back from the trashing in Dallas. Keep it rolling boys.

Bulls beat the queen and her court at the UC…impressive early win, but it is still just a regular season victory. Will the Bulls be able to do it when it counts, not so sure. The queen in a Cubs uniform was hard to see. He changes his loyalty to his teams like we change underwear. The guy is all about drama and blowing stuff out of proportion. Hope he never wins again.
Back to the Bulls. I see a trend developing that is not good. Beating clelosers and then losing to the mavs, a team the Bulls should beat, just like the lakers a few days before. Playing up and down to your competition is a dangerous way to being an average team, which is about what we expect I guess. Start playing some consistent bball Bulls, no matter who the opponent.
