December 29, 2014: Dominos Falling

posted in: Bears | 1

So early Monday morning, the news that many of us have been waiting for, was announced.  Phil Emery & Marc Trestman have been relieved of their duties.  We await the press conference…

It’s the right thing to do… I don’t think anybody will dispute that.  It’s the only thing to do… blow it up and start over.  Now the question is, who will be the new GM & coach of the Bears?  That is a good question.

The Bears have never hired anybody with previous coaching experience; that is crazy.  I think it’s time we change that trend.  Stop trying to find the next big thing, and find a proven thing.  Am I talking about Rex Ryan?  No, not necessarily, but I wouldn’t be mad at that.  Maybe he’s better suited as a defensive coordinator.  Hopefully, the search has already begun.  Hopefully, the Bears have a plan.  However, I have to doubt that, if Mr. Phllips is in charge of this process.  Should he be out too?

I’ll tell you who else should be out:  Jay Cutler.  Who would want to come here and coach the coach killer?  Does somebody think they can turn this pout face around?  Are we going to keep blaming the coaches for all of this guy’s shortcomings?  I agree Emery should be gone.  I agree Trestman and staff should be gone.  Cutler has to be moved too.

Obviously, you can’t just release him, so the management structure gets whacked first.  Now who looks into this process of getting Cutler’s ass out of here?  Will that fall on the new regime?  Is that something that Phillips is in charge of?  We already made big changes, let’s not stop here.  Let’s get pout face out of here.

But even without using fireworks, the sexual flames super viagra online can burn hot and are quite bright. Males orgasm quickly, firmly levitra online order and need nominal arousal. My concern is that he will still be here.  What if he stays, and the new coach comes in… does Cutler all of a sudden after 9 years in the NFL get it?  After 1 playoff win in 6 years, do we still think that Cutler is the guy?  We need somebody strong willed and minded.  We need somebody to hold every single person on the roster accountable.  We need to get it right.

It seemed like Trestman was out of his league.  He seemed like a good man, and tried to build camraderie on this team, but he failed.  He failed to earn his players’ respect.  He also failed to make adjustments…. sounds familiar from the Lovie Smith days.  He had a plan… practice was great.. but it didn’t translate on the field.  The offensive genius did NOT know how to be successful in the NFL, although I’d argue Cutler was a big part of the problem.

What was Emery’s downfall?  His draft picks?  Shea was horrible, but there were some good ones.  HIs hiring of Trestman?  Obviously, that didn’t work.  His signing of Cutler to the big contract?  His other bad FA signings, although there were some decent ones?  Cutler is intertwined to Emery’s failure the same as Trestman.

So we see a common theme in the across the board failures.  Emery, Trestman, and Cutler.  Two dominos have fallen, only one remains.  The man who played a big part of the failures of Emery and Trestman remains on the roster.  I hope we’ve seen him play his last game as a Bear.  Although let’s say Mike Shanahan comes here…   is Cutler safe then?

I’m glad the change came quick.  Let’s get this bad taste out of our mouth.  Let’s start to look forward.  Let’s turn this thing around ASAP.  I just hope that last domino falls sooner than later, then can we truly put this nightmare behind us.

If the next guy comes in and uses the phrases “our top priority is to beat Green Bay” or “we need to play Bear football” I’m finding a new team.

That said, my money in on Dave Toub being the next coach.
