Still bummed about that Bulls game we were supposed to attend getting postponed; hopefully the rescheduled date will be one we can make. In the meantime, the Bulls returned to the court on Sunday night at the UC vs the Pacers, and followed that up with a visit to Atlanta on Monday night. It was good to see the boys back out there, and even better to see two more wins; Bulls for the wins!!!
The Pacers are a tough team; they didn’t give up on Sunday night, no matter how many times the Bulls put them down. Have to give them respect for that. I guess that’s how games should be in your division. That Sabonis guy kills us, as does LeVert… nice players btw. Any of those guys want to come play with us? Never a bad time to think about adding. If there was one piece we needed to make a serious run at it, it would be another big man. The return of Patrick Williams would satisfy that need, but I thought he was out for the year. He’s always around though… maybe back sooner than we thought? That would be nice. Anyways, awesome win for the Bulls on Sunday. Great to see Zach back, and he was doing Zach things. Personally, I loved to see the fight on those guys trying to stick on the roster. Matt Thomas has looked OK; he made a couple shots on Sunday night, and a few more on Monday night in Atlanta. Tyler Cook… maybe he can fill that big guy role we need? His first couple “plays” didn’t impress me; I think it was a moving screen and a foul? However, he bounced back nicely with a short hook in the post and a nice dunk; another Chi-Town flyer? Of course, Chicago born Alfonzo McKinnie signed on for the rest of the year, then was promptly put into health and safety protocols. Didn’t know he went to Curie high school; passed by that school a lot growing up, including one big ass brawl I saw on Pulaski.

They’re shorthanded due to some COVID stuff too, but oh well. I like it in a way, because you get to see those guys like I mentioned above. Here they are, getting a shot… take your shot guys! Maybe you stick with the team you’re covering off for, or maybe another team notices you and picks you up. I really like that angle of things. I also like the way Ayo looked guarding Trae Young; did you see that rejection? Holy shit… Trae didn’t seem to want much to do with Ayo after that, choosing to take a couple 3 pointers 4 feet behind the line instead of driving in; he waited until Matt Thomas was on him to do that. The Bulls handled their business again, this time going 11 games over 500. We knew they’d be better, but this good? I ain’t complaining…
Yes, the beat goes on, and while the entire NBA deals with the COVID stuff, this train ain’t stopping. The games will go on, just as life. The virus ain’t going anywhere; we just have to deal with it. Maybe, as a lot of folks have said, the Bulls having so many issues this early on will benefit them later… we’ll see. With so many twists and turns to this virus, who knows. We do know that the Bulls will be playing meaningful games into the postseason this year, and for that, I am happy. Go Bulls!!!
