Didn’t think I would miss a day did you? A two day celebration of Christmas ended with a Bulls beatdown of the Lakeshow.
Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas. It really is the best time of the year, especially when there are kids involved. To watch all the children in my family open their gifts, including my 2 year old boy, was the best part.
Glad to see the Bulls kept the good vibes going. I used to hate the lakers, but no hate today. Just glad to see Chicago take care of these New York and LA teams. Nice to see them in the gutter, wait… None of that today.
The lakers really are bad. With or without old man Bryant, they are going to be at the bottom of the NBA. That doesn’t mean we should take it easy on them, or play down to their level. That’s where I have the ultimate faith in Thibs… Not letting these guys take any games for granted.
Just like the TNT game against the Knicks, the Bulls dominated first half action. They came out of halftime looking like “do we really have to play these scrubs 2 more quarters?” They let them back in the game, but eventually took care of business. You know that’s Thibs in their face making sure we don’t drop one we shouldn’t, especially at home.

You can’t win every game, and the Bulls will still lose some they shouldn’t. I just have a feeling that this team is about to start running the table.
It’s great to see Thibs coach a team with depth. For all those worried about him running guys into the ground, take a breath. Besides watching Rose’s minutes, he’s giving Noah and Taj some much needed rest. These guys have played a lot of hard minutes the past couple seasons. Keep ’em fresh Tom. One guy I’d like to see rested a little more is Buckets.
With his emergence, it’s become more critical to make sure he is fresh when it counts. He burned out last year, as did many of the Bulls. If he’s fresh come playoff time, I’d like to think we could win a playoff series or two without DRose. I don’t want to think of that, but it’s history. How far could this team go 100% healthy without having Derrick?
The better question with the better answer is how far can they go with EVERYBODY healthy? I hope we can find out.
Until then, let’s keep taking care of business. Until then, enjoy the rest of your holiday, and the rest of 2014. Hope you get some time off work too… Unlike me blogging daily. Merry Christmas!
