December 23, 2015: A Christmas Wish

Ok so I came up with an idea. Walking the dog in the morning sometimes sparks some creativity in my head as I slowly walk down the street, half awake, with my pajamas and Jordan sandals (with socks) on.  My first thought said scratch the last two days blogs…something I’ve never done before. Then it hit me.

I’ll do a three part series on Christmas to get current and continue my streak of one per day, even if it is a little late. Then I started thinking what those three could be, and the sparks started flying again.

The first installment, which you’re reading now, will be a wish list.  It’ll be A Christmas Wish for each of our teams…yeah, the Sox too. Ok, let’s roll with it.

Let’s start with the Bulls. They need a little Christmas magic. It’s sad to see this Bulls team in the situation they are currently in. So for them, I ask for one thing: a reset button for Derrick Rose’s body.  This is what this Bulls team really needs. And let me take it one step further, and ask for this wish retro….back to the day after his first knee injury. This Bulls team may look a whole lot different. At any point in the past few years, to get a healthy Rose…man, Thibs still here, Deng maybe, banners hanging in the rafters?  But even now…to get that superstar back would change things for this team this year in a hurry.

Moving along to the dynasty that is the Blackhawks. Three Cups in six years…what more can you ask for?  Well, I’ll tell you.  No salary cap in the NHL. Imagine not having to reload a big chunk of your roster every other year. We may be talking about 6 straight…and working on more, like those great past dynasties of the Canadiens and Oilers. Greedy?  Maybe, but what else would you wish for with the Hawks?

The sildenafil citrate has the role on line cialis of drawing more blood and maintaining its concentration in the penis for a considerable period of time.
Let’s take a trip to the south side. Well, that’s kind of where my wish comes in for the Sox. Rethink where and how their new stadium was built. Problems with attendance is an every year battle for the Sox. Imagine if they had built their stadium in the South Loop…the up and coming, maybe already there South Loop. Closer to downtown, skyline view, lake view… The stadium itself was poorly designed. They had a great opportunity, and they blew it. Well, they fixed it up since then, and made it pretty nice, but unfortunately they can’t pick up and move it.  But if my wish came true….

OK, on the Red Line back up north. Our Cubbies. Geez, where do we start?  Over the years, plenty of retro wishes fill my head. Honestly, the current state doesn’t leave much to wish for, except of course the one thing that I haven’t seen in my sports life. My biggest Christmas wish is just that: a World Series title.  Enough said.

Finally, we reach Da Bears.  Again, many, many wishes go through my head. I’d like to turn back the clock and never make the Cutler move.  I was happy when it happened… very happy, calling everybody back in Chicago since I was in LA at the time.  Instead of investing our future in Jay, who hasn’t rewarded us with one damn thing, we could have went another route: draft a QB maybe, invest more in the D, get any other QB than Cutler. Sorry to end on such a down note, but it’s my wish, and we have 0 Super Bowls with our “franchise” QB, so we couldn’t have done any worse any other direction we took.  We need to move on from Cutler.

Ok, so first of the three part series leading up to today, Christmas Day.  Merry Christmas and enjoy. Part 2 is next.

    My wishes…
Bulls coming together as a team with the same goal of winning of championship and then doing it…talent is there, just need cohesion.
Blackhawks finding the right line combos before the playoffs so that they can repeat!
Sox making it to the world series next year and losing to the Cubs.
    Cubs…only 1 wish-win the world series!
Bears need to continue to add more talent, through draft and free agency, so the coaching staff can utilize the entire arsenal of weapons on both sides of the ball.

a lot of retro thinking and re-doing history here. just one thing, even if you get a healthy drose body, what are you gonna do to get his head straight and concentrate on the today and ‘his’ team without ‘planning’ on life after b-ball!
