December 15, 2017: Week 15 Bears at Lions

posted in: Bears | 1

And then there was 3… 3 games left in this transition season.  I’m hoping it’s a transition season.. meaning, the last of the shitty ones, and the bridge to the better ones.  No more of this sub-500 bull crap.  Whoever is coaching this team come next year will have no rope; it’s time… it’s been time.

How the season will end will impact next year how?  Do you believe that the good vibes, culture, mojo, feelings, whatever you want to call it will carry over to the 2018 season?  I do buy into that a bit, especially if most of the roster will be back; what are we thinking, 80% back next year?  Maybe you think that losing the next 3 games is the best way to positively impact next year via the higher draft pick.  I’m OK with that too, but you know me, I cannot root for the Bears to lose; that just does not compute.  Every time they take the field I want to see them win; you see how much I’ve been disappointed lately.  Last Sunday was nice.

It seems as if Vegas took notice too.  Starting as 6 point favorites fighting for a playoff position at home vs a team that is out of it sure seems like a low line.  And, it’s dropped since then… 4.5 at some places.  Money rolling in on Da Bears?  People believing in Mitchell?  People thinking if the Bears win out the coaching staff will save their ass?  It’s got to be one of those, or a combination.  Or, it could just be that it’s that time of year where Detroit chokes away whatever good they’ve done throughout the year; yeah, that’s part of it.

The funny thing if the Bears win would be that we could be helping the Packers, who have their double check douche bag back this week.  If the Packers win out, and get some help, aka the Lions losing is part of it, then they could sneak into the playoffs.  Lord knows I don’t want to help the Packers; is that enough to make me root for the Bears to lose?  Tough, but no.  Bears win above all, although letting those slime bags in the playoffs would make me sick.  I think Carolina beats Green Bay this week anyways.

Final Score Predictor:  Bears 20 Lions 17

Ace In The Hole:  Tarik Cohen 2 TDs, one of the special teams variety

Yes, in honor of Devin Hester’s official retirement this year, Tarik will take one to the house in the return game.  A little tribute to old #23 would be nice… Remember, game is tomorrow… Saturday… don’t forget.  Bear Down!

3 games left until the biggest offseason of the pace regime. Moves need to be made on the coaching staff as well as roster. Where will the Bears fall in the draft? The next 3 weeks will help clear that up. Vegas sure does seem to be begging for money on the lions with a line that has dropped. Not sure the Bears will play back to back gems. I have a shootout here but ultimately an L. Lions 34 Bears 30. MTru does his best to keep the Bears in it with 250+ and 2 tds. Howard 100+ and a td. The Bears D and special teams let them down this week. Hoping I see a W, though…BEAR DOWN!!!
